5 out of 5 eggsGood Camera

Pros: This Camera has been great to me. I recently took it out on a July 4th parade, in which I participated, and I was taking pictures from the back of a moving truck. As long as the truck did not bounce me enough to hit the two-stage shutter button down all the way, it took great pictures, thanks to the anti-shake technology. The 26x zoom can really reach out and touch you from a distance. I took pictures from at least a thousand feet away that would be the same as using my old cheapo camera from 10 ft away. The TV out function came in great when we arrived back at the place and wanted to show the pictures we took to a crowd. Lots of great options are on this camera that I have not used yet.

Cons: The worst I can say is that the two stage shutter button is a bit too easy to press all the way down, thus disabling the auto-focus and ant shake-features of the camera. Second, if you are used to a small point and shoot, this is a lot larger and heavier. It takes a fairly steady had to hold it. Additionally, the owner's manual is very long, but that is to be expected with a camera with so many features.

Other Thoughts: The pros far, far outweigh the cons. I sure do wish they included a case though. The lens cap is nice, but i forget to take it off. :)

4 out of 5 eggsOK - I think

Pros: I am still figuring it out but...
High resolution 16Mp
support type 4 SD,
Easy to hold in your right hand (if you dont have a right hand forget it)
Takes great HD video - just tried a short one
Pop up flash
good lens cover with teather
Uses AA batts and has a setting for NiMh, Lithium, Alkaline
Beautiful screen.
Takes awsome pictures on auto, outdoors in the sun on best quality.
sleep mode if you forget to turn off the camera
Good zoom and two locations to operate it.
Beautiful red color

Cons: Battery door looks really fragile and if it fails this camera will be junk because nothing will hold the batteries in.
SD card is under the battery door
Auto feature is hit and miss in low light.
Anything less than maximum resolution and the pictures dont seem to be good quality. My 3Mp junker takes better pics than this one on 10Mp.
Noone want their pic taken twice with this flash, its brutally bright.

Other Thoughts: I have only used it on auto so far, its not readily apparent how to control "shutter speed" and if its possible to manually focus, etc. I have to fiddle with it every time I want to zoom an area on a pic I have taken.
Use the onboard USB cable to transfer photos, rather than open the battery door. I have little doubt that when I throw this camera away, it will be because the battery door has broken, so open it as little as possible.
Make sure you take the lens cover off before turn on, the lens cover should stick to the lens but instead is attached to the body of the camera and will prevent the lens from moving during power up, I dont know if they designed for this or not but it doesnt look good to me.
