stunned
- Pros: canon has truely stunned me. I have went through 4 digital cameras that ranged from 2.1 megs - 5.0 megs. none would do what I wanted them to. this camera is doing everything I ever wanted to do, within 2 hours of opening the box. I am truly stunned by this. I highly highly recommend buying this camera and buying it here at newegg. best company I have ever shopped with HANDS DOWN!!
- Cons: none what so ever.
- Other Thoughts: stunned.. really. . I am just..... blown away!!! I never ever seen pictures this nice in the 3 years of using a digital camera. I have taken atleast 10,000 images in the 3 years if not more. when I took a close up shot of my eye and it got every detail I never seen before. it blew every picture I ever took away!
Canon Rebel XTI Silver w/EF-S 18-55 mm lens
- Pros: This Canon Rebel XTI w/EF-S 18-55mm lens is an outstanding product. The pictures are crisp, clean and extremely well color balanced. The 18-55mm lens is a beginers dream and fills the bill as a general purpose carry around. I am considering however the purchase of a good image stablized telephoto lens since the supplied 18-55mm one doesn't have that great a reach. I give this a five star rating.
- Cons: I can't think of a single con other than one should be prepared to study all of the supplied material and practice the myriad of funtions to become proficient in picture taking.
- Other Thoughts: Have fun with this beautiful camera. Also Newegg is a great company to deal with !

rebel xti
- Pros: This was a good experience fast shipping, exactly what I wanted, and good customer service by the first rep I got my order completed with.
- Cons: The second time I tried to order something they wouldn't help with the order(they were nice when they said it). They don't have a sales dept. and if you have a problem with ordering online they won't help you order it over the phone. The hold time on the phone was a little long.
- Other Thoughts: Overall, my experience was positive and I would recommend to someone else, just like I was.
MY GF IS VERY HAPPY
- Pros: Very clear picture, easy to learn.
- Cons: the stock lense sucks. but you can always upgrade it :)
- Other Thoughts: I bought the XTi as a bday gift for my GF. I loved it so much that I purchased the Xsi for myself the following week I was playing with it :=)
Great product, Great service!
- Pros: This is one great camera, and the service I get from Canon is just as good! Lots of features with this camera. I wont go through them all, but I will say it's 3 frames per second, fast card write times, and the lens lineup that it takes is great! The pictures this thing takes just blow me away. If you use L series lenses with it, they are even better! I'm spoiled on L series lenses now! Too bad they are more expensive than the camera is!
- Cons: Dust in the view finder. Mine got a speck of black dust in the view finder, behind the glass with the 9 dots that light up. I shot some air in it, and the particle of dust had dust babies. Tons of them! I tried to remove the part to get inside of the view finder and scratched the glass! ARGH!! Good news though, that part is a whopping 2 bucks to replace from canon! Woohoo! I ordered 2.
- Other Thoughts: Take care of this baby, and DO NOT store it sitting on the lcd, even for 10 seconds! That's how mine got the dust in the view finder. It's fairly easy, but very delicate to remove the retaining clip to get that part out, but be careful! It's WAY too easy to foul things up like I did. Thank you canon for letting me fix this myself and for not charging me $200.00 for a $2.00 part.

Highlights
 |
10.1 Megapixel APS-C Size CMOS Sensor The EOS Digital Rebel XTi features Canon's 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor with the most-in-class pixels for images of exceptional clarity and tonal range. The APS-C size sensor (22.2 x 14.8mm) has the same 3:2 ratio as film cameras for an effective viewing angle of 1.6x the normal EF Lens focal length. With an effective pixel resolution of 3,904 x 2,598, the EOS Digital Rebel XTi offers superb detail and clarity even in poster-sized prints.
|
 |
DIGIC II Image Processor The EOS Digital Rebel XTi's sensor is driven by the DIGIC II Image Processor which is enhanced across the board with improvements in speed and image quality. Information captured by the sensor is processed and assembled into images of exceptional clarity and resolution. Consuming very little energy, DIGIC II works with the sensor to ensure natural colors, accurate white balance and speedy write times.
|
 |
Integrated Self Cleaning Sensor Unit The Digital Rebel XTi features an all-new, Canon-designed Self Cleaning Sensor Unit to combat stray dust that enters the camera and adheres to the image sensor during a lens change. The low pass filter self-cleans automatically with ultrasonic vibrations, removing dust from the sensor assembly. Dust that has been missed by the integrated Self Cleaning Sensor Unit can be erased with software included in Digital Photo Professional (DPP) Version 2.2. This added software option ensures the cleanest possible image, perfect for printing or archiving.
|
 |
2.5-inch LCD Monitor with Display Off Sensor The new Rebel XTi 2.5-inch LCD monitor (230,000 pixels) with wide viewing angles of 160° makes all framing, reviewing and menu work a snap. With the newly developed Display Off Sensor, the Digital Rebel XTi's external display turns off automatically when composing images to prevent the LCD monitor's brightness from disturbing the photographer's eye while looking through the viewfinder.
|
 |
"Picture Style" Settings With the EOS Digital Rebel XTi and Picture Style technology, photographers can recreate characteristics of their favorite films. Color, saturation, sharpness and contrast settings create noticeable variation in the saved image. In addition to six preset Picture Styles (Standard, Portrait, Landscape, Neutral, Faithful and Monochrome), users can create three additional settings for their particular photographic style.
|
 |
Print/Share Button Printing and uploading to a computer is incredibly simple with the Digital Rebel XTi's Print/Share button. Connect the Digital Rebel XTi to a computer via the fast USB 2.0 port and transfer the photographs in the camera’s memory to folders on the computer.
