Remember the tricorders on Star Trek? They didn't need any tapes or moving parts to record sound and video, and now, neither do you! Utilizing both an internal 16GB flash drive AND a removable SDHC memory card, this camcorder uses less power, responds faster, and is more shock resistant than either disk or tape systems. (Even so, don't strap it to a soccer ball for those ball's-eye view shots: it ain't THAT shock resistant!)
A high resolution CCD sensor gives you great video and beautiful digital stills, aided and abetted by 48X advanced zoom, and image stabilizer. The internal and external Flash Memory offers literally hours of recording time! Canon's exclusive DIGIC DV II image processor helps maintain the quality of your images with digital wizardry.

Great Digital Camcorder
- Pros: Internal HDD is great for longer videos without the fuss of replacing a DVD or Tape. The possibility to change the battery is a great feature, it comes with Canon's BP-808 Battery Pack which lasts about an 1-1.5 hours depending on the setting you record on, you can replace this Pack with a fresh one and only miss minutes of recording time since the HDD will hold up to 10 hours, 25 minutes- LP mode (3 Mbps) but of course canon has made it possible for greater capacity by adding an SDHC memory card.
It should also be mentioned since Newegg did not that this camcorder has a 48x advanced zoom... combined with the image stabilizer it is great on a tripod to catch further away activities. The still frame camera has a great quaility about it as well. It's very nice to record and take a still picture at the same time.
- Cons: Haven't found a larger battery pack yet.
- Other Thoughts: I found this product cheaper at another site great for all types of cameras. so make sure before you buy you shop around and get all the facts before you buy and always get more for your hard earned buck. Pricewatch is a great site to search.
Canon FS11 Black
- Pros: Light , Good Focus and Zoom, easy to use
Fast start up and recording . Lost of features.
- Cons: doesn't have camera flash and
doesn't have camera light mount, for additional light for dark areas. It does have an small light , good for short distance
- Other Thoughts: I set the camera on my tripod.
and i zoom to a park car , located at 326 Yards using X48 advance optical zoom. i was really amazed with this camera. the best camera i ever own
