5 out of 5 eggsLove this camera

Pros: great camera with just about every feature i need at a great price. I am very happy with this camera.

Cons: photos seem to have some digital grain at high ISOs, but its still better then most cameras in this price range. Also wish autofocus worked in live view, something i believe you get with the XSi and more expensive models.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this to anyone who wanted to take much higher quality photos and have more control then what you get with a digital point and shoot, but not spend the money of pro level equipment.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nicely packaged. Well thought out in todays times of multi lingual. It offers a seperate operators manual for Spanish so it makes it easy to find answers to questions. 3 CDs along with the manuals.

Cons: None noted as of yet.

Other Thoughts: A 15% discount for registering your Canon camera on any extras you may wish to order. You also get either phone support or email, your choice. I however struggle with why they give different measurements for the same camera bodies. I looked at Nikon also but went with Canon since they have a much larger selection of lenses and lower prices. I am not using this for work, so its lack of super creature comforts are fine with me, besides, you can make your camera better with better lenses. The manual makes understanding the features and operations of the camera easier for those like myself who have little knowledge of macro lenses, F stops and other strange language :)

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing for the price

Pros: - Love the sensor cleaning feature
- Pretty much comes set to shoot right out of box
- Very easy to setup
- Great quality
- Very nice that it comes with a lens. They are not cheap
- Durable (daughter dropped it the second day from about 4ft. and still works perfectly).
- Interface is VERY easy to understand

Cons: - Doesn't come with a card (not really too inconvenient)

- setting custom White Balance is somewhat complex. You really can't do it fast unless you practice the sequence (can't just press one button to customize it)

- Getting the battery door open is a little tedious. It's not spring-loaded, so you have to hold the slider while opening it (definitely not a deal breaker).

Other Thoughts: You have to work the shutter button a little at first as it doesn't have a lot of play out-of-box.
