1 out of 5 eggsFailed twice within 6 months

Pros: When it works this camera is great. Nice and small it can be kept in a purse or bag and takes great pictures for the small format.

Cons: First one failed within 1 month with a lens error malfunction. RMA-ed and got a new one from Newegg. 3 months later the replacement failed with the exact same problem! Will have to deal with Canon warranty replacement now, but we're going to get rid of this after it is replaced. We have bought nothing but Canon cameras for the last 20 years, and this is the only one we've ever had any trouble. Quite a lemon of a product.

Other Thoughts: I would look elsewhere for a small camera if reliability is important to you. There are serious technical issues with this line.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera

Pros: We had bought this camera off Newegg as our 2009 Black Friday gift to ourselves. We were looking at several retail stores in town & Newegg beat all prices. We've been using it a few months now and it's incredible. Pictures are enormous. Even the videos at 640x480 look amazing. The rechargeable battery is great and you don't have to keep it on the charger all the time for the camera to work. We've left it in the camera for over two weeks and turned it on with most of its charge in tact.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: As others have said, you need an SD card to store pictures, but Newegg has several 8GB and above at great prices. We had bought a couple 8GB Transcend Micro SD's with converters and it works well. Plus, the USB 2.0 cable can allow your computer direct access to the card so no need to ever pull it out of the camera.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent basic camera

Pros: Very good pictures; sharp, with accurate colors
Attractive design
Somewhat fair price
Very fast start-up
Very small
Great screen

Cons: No HD video
There is no "My Colors" feature; it was present on the 1100 IS, which this camera was released to replace

Other Thoughts: Pictures can be blurry if you simply press the shutter all the way down. One must (as on all other digital cameras) press it down halfway to allow the camera to judge auto-shutter, exposure, focus, and flash.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very nice camera. Does everything I would need it to do.

Cons: Girlfriend claims the auto focus can be noisy and annoying when not actually taking a picture.

Other Thoughts: It's her camera, a replacement for a fidgity SD200. Almost the same thing, with an added all auto mode and a bigger screen. A great value with a carrying case and an 8GB SD combo. Try getting that for the same price in a retail store!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera for uder $200

Pros: This is a full featured camera for under $200. When I bought it I didn't realize that it shoots Full NTSC 640 x 480 30 fps video, as much as your memory card will hold. I thought it only shot 30 seconds of video. Lightweight, compact, full featured

Cons: Not really a con, but you have to buy the memory for it. Doesn't come with the camera. I bought Kingston 16 GB SDHD for $30 on NewEgg

Other Thoughts: Nice colors. My son wanted blue. They had a blue

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: the website had my exact camera even when other stores had it on backorder; charging to my account and shipping went quick; great security on my order to ensure it was me and not a theif

Cons: the processing stage took too long to confirm my address from my bank card and my bank; address needed to be EXACTLY as it states

Other Thoughts: if the address is stated as Road and not RD then it shouldn't make a difference if it is abbreviated as that example took too long for my address to check through on my account and I didnt know why the processing stage was taking too long

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: Slim, very clear and sharp viewing screen. The zoom is good but the picture quality is amazing! The rechargeable battery is worth the extra bucks from the AA version. The video quality is way better than I expected and the mic is just right like most camcorders.

Cons: Does not come with a case or a card.

Other Thoughts: I recommend 4GB card or higher if your going to do videos and pics.

5 out of 5 eggsSD1200 is same as SD1100

Pros: 10.3 MP. Made in Japan. Crystal clear pictures/movies and portable. Rechargable battery.

Cons: If only if it came with a combo deal -19.99 with dolcia bag and 4 or 8gb sd card.

Other Thoughts: To let you guys know out there, this camera is same thing as the SD 1100. Why spend another $50 for 2.0+ MP? I hope this helps.

Copy and paste that link It's same comparison.
