Customer Reviews of the Canon USA PowerShot SX200 IS
Pros: Nice Camera. Build Quality to me seems solid. Buttons give off a loud and stirdy click. The viewing screen is nice and large. Image Stabilizer works awesome for HD video as well as stills. Even the flash is motorized, heh.
Cons: Getting the right Shutter Speed and picture quality/angle can be rough. They should just make it where it will set the picture to the highest avail res at the shutter speed you choose, instead of it just giving you a red square or something of the sort on the viewer which says the settings arent compatible. HDMI cable is not included with the camera. Since it uses a proprietary mini to HDMI, it should have came with it.
Other Thoughts: It takes great pics once the settings are right. HD video looks nice and is in MOV format, but once you zoom in via HD video, the quality goes out the window. But it is a camera and not a camcorder, so you cant expect too much. Overall I'm happy with it.

Cons: -No optical zoom on video -PF/CA issues are quite prevalent -While colors are great, they do tend to be a bit warm at default settings. -Canon build quality is poor as always.
Other Thoughts: Yickster, it is NOT an SLR camera. lol It is nowhere near the size of one not to mention that it does not have an SLR sensor or optics. HeyHey, you missed the point. The Canon cannot *optically* zoom in video mode. Digital zoom will destroy the quality of videos and stills. ty, CMOS and CCD each have their pros and cons. Nearly every P&S utilizes CCD aside from a couple Sonys and some lesser known makes/models.

Rating: 5/5BEST CAMERA EVER!!
Pros: I LOVE IT!!!!! The Quality on the pictures taken with it are amazing!! The clarity! The quality!! Even the Video recording is GREAT!! It's a must have!!
Cons: Yea it a bit bulky but then again it's like having a Professional cam in a smaller size.
Other Thoughts: You CAN, YES CAN zoom in while recording- not as far as a regular Video Recorder (DUH!) but you can zoom in up to 4x. It has so many GREAT options to take pictures with and when you select time THEY GIVE YOU A QUICK INFO OF THE FUCTION!!!!!!!!!!
GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NAU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rating: 5/5I'm impressed.
Pros: x12 zoom is very useful. Built very solid and high quality. Battery lasts long enough for most uses.
Cons: Noise in the images (high megapixel) Uses a cannon rechargeable battery, not 2 AA's.
Other Thoughts: Firmware update gives some great features.

Rating: 5/5Great Camera/Good Combo Deal
Pros: This is our first digital camera. The camera has been great as expected. Took very clear action shots of my little girls soccer match. Not blurry at all. The Auto Setting for exposures has worked great so far and was the selling point for my wife who has had issues trying to pick the right one at times.
Cons: Not having the 2G or 4G memory stick not included with the camera.
Other Thoughts: Did a lot of research before choosing. The NEWEGG combo with the full sized tri-pod, LCD protective cover, extra battery, and 4G memory stick was cheaper than if I had bought them seperately. Almost like getting the tripod for free. The other stuff in the combo probably won't get used.

Pros: I loved this camera. It did a wonderful job with zoom, and the 12.1MPs really show in the final results. I got great color and the shooting speed was much better then my precious nikon. Before I bought it I noticed people complaining about the flash position, it didn't bother me at all. The settings are important, especially when the light is dim/ indoor, so experiment with them. Overall great camera
Cons: I have none

Rating: 5/5Cool small camera with big options!
Pros: Excellent pic. quality and wonderful zoom. Easy to use if a beginner..and I do mean easy....yet many options for playing around a bit more.
Cons: I still prefer 2 rechargable AA batteries instead of a battery pack, but that is just my feelings. Not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: I have been looking a long time for a small enough camera just to have with me in my purse with a zoom larger than a 6 X opitcal, and this seems to fit my needs. Want something I can pull out quick to get split second shots before I miss them. I have a larger camera that I used on planned photo expiditions, but this little camera really does most of what my other camera does! My brother is getting also...he never had a digital camera, but I know he will not have trouble with this..especially with the easy mode option, or even the auto focus mode. Good camera and I would buy again. And...Canon's customer service is out of this world! (or actually...they are located in the US which is getting harder to find!)

Rating: 5/5Fantastic Camera
Pros: - 12X Optical Zoom is amazing - Image Stabilization works much better than I expected - Large feature set for the price - HD video (MOV Format) with very good microphone - Battery life is pretty good (I got about 500 pics with lots of on/off switching) - The image review mode is surprisingly useful and easy to show others what you shot.
Cons: - No RAW/Superfine - When in video mode there is no zoom adjustment and iris is fixed - A bit big for a true Point and Shoot - The images can be a bit noisy. Not awful by any means, but SuperFine mode would help. - It takes about a half second too long between pressing the power button to it being ready to shoot. Mainly because of the unwinding of the lens into an extended position. - No optical viewfinder
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't quite call this a true point and shoot because it is too big, but I wanted better quality than a pocket camera without the expense and hassle of a DSLR, and I think this fits the bill quite nicely. The 12X zoom was the real selling point and I was completely happy with it.
I found out that it is water resistant to a point, but will fog if you are excessive. (I was at a waterfall. It cleared itself after a few minutes of dry air.) Probably that is true of any camera that isn't specially sealed, though.
The flash can be "manually" hidden by simply pressing it back into the body of the camera if you want to physically turn it off, so I wouldn't worry much about that. It is spring-loaded and flips in/out easily, and the camera understands when you've hidden the flash this way.
Also, read the manual before going on a trip with this thing. I discovered all sorts of features I didn't know about and would have liked to use until I was halfway through my trip.

Cons: But not a point a shot camera as advertise.... this camera is huge!! you need two hands to change any setting on it or it might fall!!! this is a SLR camera!!!

Rating: 5/5Awesome Camera
Pros: Great camera. The zoom lens on this thing is amazing. Good shutter speed and the LCD on the back is great (no dead pixels). Was worried about the pop-up flash but that isn't a problem at all, much more sturdy than I expected.
Cons: Little more bulky than I expected but not terrible.
Other Thoughts: Bought a spare battery for mine but it does a great job with the power save that I haven't had a need for it yet.
