Pros: I've owned the S90 for about 6 months now and loved it so much that I bought the S95 too. If you are looking for a compact camera that takes awesome pictures, this is the one. I've owned Sony's to Nikon's and I can tell you that without a doubt, this is the best point and shoot I've ever owned. The photo quality is sharp, the interface is easy to use, and I especially find the low light shots exceptional compared to any other point and shoot.
It's not a DSLR, but if you have to have a backup that'll fit in your pocket, this one is the one to have.
Cons: The S90 is a little slick but I've never had it fall out of my hand. The S95 is worth getting over the S90 because the S95 does feel better in your hand. Seems like the worked out all the kinks.

Rating: 4/5Great compact
Pros: Compact. Tons ...and I mean tons of features. Like a SLR menu of settings to tweek the photo mode. Amazing photos, stunning clarity really ...no need for really ever using a flash except darkest shots, as the sensor is soo good; i use this scuba diving (with a case obviously) and on travel (in meusems, etc) so VERY important.
Cons: The little ring dial is a serious pain in the tush (newegg made me use this lame word) ...hence 4 eggs. Always find that it's getting turned even with the lightest touch.
Other Thoughts: Good buy for what it is. No HiDef video, but not really an issue here.

Rating: 5/5Excellent Compact
Pros: Nice JPEGs right out of the camera, RAW capability when you need it, better high ISO performance than any prior Canon compact I have owned or used, sharp F/2 lens, effective image stabilization, convenient and customizable manual controls, pocket size
Cons: Given what this little camera offers at this price, size and weight, there's not much to complain about...
Other Thoughts: This is a capable little pocket camera...perfect for times when you want to have a decent camera along but don't want to lug larger gear...

Rating: 5/5Nice, compact, excellent pics!
Pros: Newegg sent my order out ASAP. Received in 3 days! This camera can make any consumer a good shot. Lens is top notch. Easy to use. Excellent low light shooting even without flash. Quick time to first shot and follow up shots. Very happy so far. Compact, easily fits into a pocket. There when you need it.
Cons: Small size makes a little difficult to hold for big hands. Battery must be removed to charge.
Other Thoughts: Excellent buy at $303 shipped! Newegg had the camera for $336 less 10% plus $2.99 shipping.

Rating: 5/5Very nice little camera
Pros: Shoots in RAW, small, decent image quality. A very good value for good quality. This is a "point and shoot", but it's quite advanced.
Cons: Don't expect miracles. It's a small sensor. High ISO (800 or higher) is quite noisy, but I've found the noise to be very controllable in post-processing (I use Nik Dfine 2.0).
Other Thoughts: I shoot with a Canon 7D normally. I'm not a pro, but a very experienced amateur. It's great to have a small camera that has controls I understand that I can just slip in my pocket anywhere I go. I've been very pleased with it so far.

Rating: 5/5Canon S90
Pros: High image quality, f2 low light shooting, RAW files.
Cons: Nothing to stop you buying it.
Other Thoughts: I programmed the touchy function wheel on the back to manage my f stops so it doesn't matter much if I bump it off setting occasionally.

Rating: 5/5Great
Pros: Not a professional photographer by any definition, but I'm very impressed with the picture quality and speed in all conditions.
Customization options are unmatched. Virtually everything can be controlled manually. Can get good long exposure shots for fireworks, stars, etc.
Auto mode takes surprisingly good pictures consistently
Cons: Expensive for a point and shoot, considering you could get a low end dslr for about a hundred more
Other Thoughts: Good camera for a novice who wants to take good pictures in auto mode now, and wants room to learn more and get deeper into photography.

Rating: 5/5Great Camera
Pros: Easy to carry in the pocket, excellent photos, RAW capability, Adequate software, bight LCD Screen.
Cons: Controls are confusing at first, a bit slipery.
Other Thoughts: I am very happy with this camera and with Newegg. Optional grip works well. The camera is perfect for carrying in the pocket while trekking or bicycling or using anytime you don't want to carry a DSLR (the photos are nearly as good).
Neweggs is a great place to shop!

Rating: 5/5Can't put it down!
Pros: -Phenomenal picture quality, even on Auto mode! -Impressive lowlight capability! -Tons of features and functions that let you fine tune quickly -Programmable front control ring and a secondary rear control dial -Massive and vivid rear LCD screen -Extremely light and compact for the overall package
Canon never fails to satisfy me with there digital cameras in terms of image and build quality, while keeping menus and interface very appealing and user friendly!
The larger than average sensor and f2.0 lens really makes for some incredible pictures, even when lighting conditions can be a little dim or sparse!
The SCN modes also provide great results, so its a nice way for someone to quickly choose a mode and start snapping away.
P (Program) mode is a great way to shoot, because it allows me to quickly make fine adjustments using the control ring and rear dial, instead of having to go through menus and settings like I did with my SD1100.
Have I mentioned the image quality
Cons: -Can be slippery, especially when shooting singlehanded, but it's doable -Supplied strap is useless -Control dial does not have click movement like the front control ring -Flash can pop up and hit your finger. Takes time to adapt
Other Thoughts: I've been using Canon point and shoots for many years now, starting with the SD110, moving to the SD1100, and now the S90. All of the Canon's I have owned have been the most reliable and well constructed digital cameras I have operated and held.
Granted, I am not a professional photographer by any means, nor do I know about the in's and out's of digital cameras, but I do know whenever I shoot with any other brand digital cam, I appreciate my Canon's IQ and feel more and more.
The strap that comes with the camera is very weak. I am using a strap of a Nintendo Wii controller with great results. I took the camera to Big Bear, and there were numerous times the strap saved my camera from dropping out of my clumsy hands. The camera is small, and can be slippery, so get into the habit of wearing a strap! ;)
The image quality is amazing, and I love large sensor and the f2.0 lens on this little camera!
