As Good As it Gets
Pros: HD Video in 1080, 10X Optical Zoom, Low Light Shooting, HDMI output, Slow motion video, Best Select Mode, I could on....
Cons: Heres a few things I didnt know before I purchased: The HD movie records in Motion Jpeg (M-JPEG) not H.264 which is not a problem except with compatibility and file size. The HD files are huge but will a very fast and easy file converter set to "Pass Through", you'll have managible and smaller H.264 files. Focusing can be an issue with this camera. Ive had all Canons in the past and praise them all but this one takes a little while to focus during movie mode and the smart focus doesnt always work when taking pictures. Oh and buy another battery (cheap one) as it will use up a battery faster than most.
Other Thoughts: Other reviews have nailed this camera for battery life. That is such a small problem and I wouldnt worry at all with two batteries. This is an EXCELLENT camera for the price, the size, the ease of use. All the little extras are worth the few cons. You'll be happy you bought it, I am.

Pros: Nice Zoom. Compact. Same basic menu/function interface as my last Canon (sd1100)
Cons: A little slow. Battery life could be better. A lot of features are added that you will never use.
Other Thoughts: I think the battery life is no-big-deal. How often do you not end up overnight somewhere you can charge the camera? For me, if it lasts thru 1 session (usually a hockey game) then all is good. Really, doesnt 150 shots get you thru a day?

I got a lemon
Pros: Good pictures and video. Fast delivery by Newegg (as usual).
Cons: Very bad battery life. More importantly, had to send mine in for repairs after 1 month because the lens kept getting stuck in the open position and the LCD had vertical 'snow'. Stop working completely after 1 month. Bad, bad, bad especially when you are trying to capture those priceless moments.
Other Thoughts: I'm hoping to get a new rather than repaired camera back. If I get a new one, I will be better able to review its capabilities.
