Pros: Easy to use and takes great pictures.

Cons: Very disappointed. My daughter had this camera for less than a year, approx 10 months, and it now does not turn on anymore. She called the help line to troubleshoot problems and was directed on how to reset it. However, that did not work. Paid approx $99 for the camera and the replacement warranty is $10 cheaper. I didn't get the replacement warranty because of the added expense. I now know that if a replacement warranty is going to cost that much the company doesn't have faith in their product. My daughter googled the issues with the camera and found others with the same problem. Buyer beware!!!

Pros: Reasonable price, decent pictures, decent zoom, decent manual options, pretty good battery life. Manual under/over-exposure control (which helps balance some of the cons).

Cons: Slow lens; camera needs tons of light or a sloooow shutter speed to operate well. Automatic settings only really do well in bright daylight, or with the flash enabled (which is tied to the slow lens). Instructing the camera to under-expose by 2/3 a stop generally allows enough leeway to take reasonable natural-light-only shots indoors and outdoors (in less-than-full-sun daytime weather), but requires some post-processing work. No RAW shooting.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: So far it's been a great tv I also have been using it as a monitor and it has great quality and is in great shape for a refurbished product.

Cons: Did have a small broken part on the stand but it did not effect anything at all and seeing as I'm not going to use the stand no big woof. Also I do wish there were a few more options when it comes to screen resolution and hooking it up to a computer.

Other Thoughts: It is well worth the price and is a great buy. If you are thinking about it, go for it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little camera

Pros: Very good image quality, small, AA battery.

Cons: None that come to mind.

Other Thoughts: Not sure what's behind all the complaints about image quality. We've got two of these cameras and they both take very good pictuures, indoors or out. It's not a DSLR, but you can't put a DSLR to your pocket. The second camera did fail under warranty, but Canon had a replacement to us within 7 calendar days.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible quality pictures

Pros: Decent enough videos, quick recovery time while taking still images compared to our digital camera purchased in 2005, light weight.

Cons: Horrible quality to pictures. Grainy, dead appearance to pictures - whether taken indoors, outdoors - bright and sunny - with the flash it doesn't matter. We have our older model Canon powershot A520 camera purchased years ago that takes much crisper pictures with less noise than this camera.

Other Thoughts: Its cheap and not worth it. If you consider that you are taking a picture out of the purpose of creating a permanent memory of or great reference to a place visited or an important event. Who wants to look back and see grainy horrible dead looking pictures?

After reading tons of similar reviews I know I didn't just get a defective one out of inventory - its this model/ series/ whatever that sucks.

I have SMASHED this camera and no longer have it out of the frustration this camera has caused - it was useless to me because I'm not going to save these images for future generations to enjoy if they are so horrible and bad. Canon should be ashamed to have their brand name attached to this item.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good.

Pros: The reason I purchased this camera is that it has a view finder. There are no other inexpensive cameras that have one that I could find. A view finder is a great asset and it is too bad the manufacturers have been leaving it out. Great price ($79) and the quality of the photos is what you would expect from a point and shoot. For those who want to use the extensive features take a look at the manual that is on the CD or download it from Canon. The printed manual has around 50 pages the PDF version has 150 pages.

Cons: The recycle time for the flash is a little slow which effects time between shots.

Other Thoughts: If you want a point & shoot with a view finder better grab it as this is a dying breed.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerShot A1200

Pros: 4x Optical zoom, Viewfinder, simple controls, very reasonable price.

Cons: In low light settings I noticed that the picture seemed grainy on the LCD, but fortunatly didn't show up in the photo.

Other Thoughts: Viewfinder is a great fallback for the low light photo settings, so I didn't take many points off for the image quality on the LCD in those settings.

3 out of 5 eggsYa gits what ya pays for

Pros: Has a viewfinder, uses 2-AA batteries, nice size for handling. Fairly inexpensive. A nice looking camera.

Cons: Below average image quality, lacks sharpness, pictures tend to be grainy at ISO above 80. Colors a bit washed out. Even the LCD display is pretty grainy to look at while composing a picture, and not very pleasing.

Other Thoughts: I own 3 of Canon's Pro-sumer 35mm DSLR bodies, and 2 Canon "L" zoom lenses. Image sharpness, is the most important feature in any camera, IMO, followed by image color and saturation. Of the 3, you just can't fix poor image sharpness in Photoshop. Camera makers tout megapixel count ahead of almost everything else these days, but more megapixels do not make for higher image quality. A good, sharp lens is what it takes. Just because it says Canon doesn't mean it'll be great, and this camera is proof. It's OK for the money, I guess, but don't expect miracles. If you're going to stick with 4X6 prints, it'll probably work for you. I would not buy this camera again, if I could do it over.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap camera but slow shipping

Pros: The camera itself takes nice pictures, the colors are great and the resolution is excellent. Small and fits in one's pocket. Most of the features are automatic which is good for those who don't know much about photography but still want nice pictures. I already bought three of these cameras. Fast enough for a point and shoot camera. Cheap!

Cons: Plastic body makes it look a little cheap and seems not very compatible with the excellent performances. Limited settings and one has to rely mostly on automatic setting.

Other Thoughts: The shipping is my slowest shipping experience with online store. So far Newegg has always been the best in shipping, fast and reliable. This new advertised super fast shipping method thru DHL is the slowest ever. My order can to me through USPS, was put in the mailbox where I could get it. Literally I had to extract everything from the box piece by piece. The online tracking show that the product can sleep at certain nodes for days.
Whoever is planning to buy this with Newegg for the holidays beware that shipping is very very I say slow, uncharacteristic to Newegg
