Canon's powerful 42x Optical Zoom (24-1008mm) and 24mm Wide-Angle lens with Optical Image Stabilizer help ensure outstanding optical performance and versatility.

16.0 Megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor combined with the Canon DIGIC 4+ Image Processor creates the Canon HS SYSTEM, which helps to provide excellent low-light performance.

Capture stunning 1080p Full HD video with a dedicated movie button and zoom while shooting.

Intelligent IS automatically chooses from eight different modes to optimize image stabilization for virtually shake-free images in a wide variety of conditions.

Zoom Framing Assist makes it easy to track and capture subjects while using the extreme telephoto. With this advanced feature your camera will automatically zoom in or out while following the movement of your subject and help ensure it remains in focus.

High Speed AF greatly helps improve focus speed so you can capture every shot with ease.

Creative Shot mode uses composition, color and lighting from your original image to create unique images with an artistic flair.

Hybrid Auto records quick video clips before each still and compiles them together to make a short highlight reel.

Smart AUTO intelligently selects the proper settings for the camera based on predefined shooting situations to help ensure the best possible image capture for stills or video.

5 out of 5 eggsCanon power shot

Pros: Wide-angle lens, fantastic zoom lens, small compact size. Great starter camera for you tubers and enthusiast. The small compact size makes for easy set up.

Cons: No Wi-Fi capability, would benefit from a flip out viewscreen for ease of setup for single operation, the plastic case is somewhat noisy when when handling and blogger style. There is no external audio hookup for example shotgun mics and attachments.

Other Thoughts: For the price point of this camera, functions offered with the widescreen and zoom, it's very capable camera. And with the HD capability and 1080 P you can produce quite decent video work.

5 out of 5 eggsMoon-Approved

Pros: My first test was on the moon. I zoomed in to 42x without filters and it turned out astonishingly! I could not believe I could see all of the craters! It looked like a professional picture, I wish I could post the pic here! It does the trick, I've always loved Canon, and it goes to show you don't have to spend a fortune for a decent camera. I needed one for an upcoming trip to Alaska and I know I will be thankful for it.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsVery good so far!

Pros: Its a Canon, it better be good and it seems to be! Only a few months old, was purchased for our assembly foreman to take good shots of production problems in a manufacturing environment. It has been perfect so far!

Cons: Big.... Not the jibberish so this is long enough to post. Did I tell you about the one legged man?

Other Thoughts: Yes, I would recommend! So the one armed man walks in a bar....:)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera

Pros: Great video indoors with low light! and great pics indoors with low light and no flash! I prefer to not use the flash indoors and like the pic quality better than using the flash - that is how good this camera is in low light! Im very happy!

Cons: No AC power, must operate on batteries but we bought a 2nd batt off Am * zon for $11. But if it had an AC power supply then I could use it to live stream video for more than 50 mins (at which time batt dies and must stop streaming and replce batt).

Other Thoughts: No regrets, very happy!!
