5 out of 5 eggsBest Canon DSLR I have ever owned so far

This review is from: Canon EOS 7D MARK II 9128B002 Black 20.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Body

Pros: Read the specs. Exactly as described. Fast shutter speed 10 fps; GPS, 65 point tracking AF points, Manual Selection if needed; Camera is a pure pleasure to operate. I owned a Canon Rebel T5 and this is 70D is my upgrade

Cons: None I can think of. But for those who are die hard critics - it does not come with builtin wifi , but is wifi capable with the eye card to offload your pics wirelessly if you so desire.

Other Thoughts: Best camera I have ever owned. Tons of features and scenarios to choose from. It was worth it. Throw in an "L" lens and your pics will be amazing. Check out the canon website for the online video tutorials and you will be a pro in minimal time.

5 out of 5 eggsCompletely amazing!

This review is from: Canon EOS 7D MARK II 9128B002 Black 20.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Body

Pros: 65 point AF, all cross type.

you can autofocus with a teleconverter down to f8.

20.2MP is good enough for anyone's needs.

ISO usable up to about 10,000 (depending on your needs. just for family gatherings? 10,000 still looks pretty freaking good, but for paid work id say keep it below 6,400.

autofocus while recording videos.

mic and headphone jack.

live view autofocus is infinitely faster than my first camera (1100d)

easy to use controls.

I could go on forever, but these are the points that quickly come to mind. completely blown away by this camera.

Cons: no video autofocus while at 1080 60fps

Other Thoughts: have it coupled with the bg-e16 battery grip and it is quite heavy. about 3 pounds. not a huge deal at all but just something to think about if youre used to cheap, mostly plastic cameras.

5 out of 5 eggs7D Mark II

This review is from: Canon EOS 7D MARK II 9128B002 Black 20.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Body

Pros: Low light performance
Fit and finish is first rate
Great quality photos
Ten frames per second
Sixty five point cross type auto focus system
Weather sealing

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is another quality DSLR camera from canon in the 7D Mark II. It shoots up to ten frames per second the auto focus is top of the line, fast and accurate. Over all this is a great camera that has the best focusing system available in Canon's line up. This camera is weather sealed very well, Canon hit a grand slam home run with the 7D Mark II.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for Sport and Nature

This review is from: Canon EOS 7D MARK II 9128B002 Black 20.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Body

Pros: Forgive my being flippant, but I doubt anyone looking at an $1,800 camera back is going to give any weight to comments from an amateur, or at least shouldn't be :-).

My experience is aligned with the professional reviewers: particularly strong for sports or nature because of the fast AF system and low-light performance. For better or worse it is a full-sized DSLR, so it is bulky and heavy. With good lenses you can capture some amazing images.

Cons: Size and weight

Other Thoughts: If you don't have good lenses that's where you should be putting your $$$.

5 out of 5 eggsDOA :(

This review is from: Canon EOS 7D MARK II 9128B002 Black 20.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Body

Pros: I know it's a good camera

Cons: Got it yesterday and played with the settings for 20 minutes then took the battery out to charge it. Battery showed fully charged 3 hrs later so I unplugged it. I left the battery on the desk right next to the camera then went to work. I come home, pop the battery in, and nothing....it doesn't power on. Had my Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 on there when it did work.
Even tried my Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and still nothing. le sigh.

I don't have another battery to test until my package arrives in 2 days. If it doesn't work, then camera will be RMAd.
