Awesome camera
- Pros: easy to use, great features. Great software for editing and adding effects. Crystal clear & sharp pictures, can easily be professional quality.

- Other Thoughts: I have wanted a digital camera for a long time now. My husband & I did a lot of research on various cameras. This one had everything, and more, we wanted.
The price is fantastic.
I truely feel like I have a top of the line professional camera with the quality of pictures I take with this camera.
The video feature is nice as well. The videos are sharp & clear.

- Pros: 12x zoom, face detect, price, size is smaller then the s700
- Cons: i think i will have to be carefull with the lens since it protrudes out. no way to attach external filters. I dont understand why they could not jsut add the new features liek face detect, better anti shake and a metal tripod attachment to the s700 and call it a day.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this as a follow up to the Fuji s700 and am not really pleased with this camera so far. There is too much of a delay in taking pictures even with a SDHC high write rate card. This camera may take a bit more getting used to but having used a fair number of DSLR cameras, this one seems like it could have been a bit better.

Just shy of an SLR without the weight and cost
- Pros: I have been carrying this camera with me every day since I purchased it. It can take beautiful 10megapixel photos and has lots of options/functionality. I am not a professional photographer, just an average joe that wanted an above average Point and Shoot camera. This camera is feature laden and if I wanted any more options, I would have to go with an SLR camera, which would add at least $300 to the price. If you're purchasing the camera for the 12x zoom, be sure to get a tripod for UNBELIEVEABLE photos. Im used to NOT being able to take any night photos with other digital cameras, I can set the camera to SP mode, select Night tripod setting, attach the tripod and take great night shots. For photographers, they can just set the shutter speed very low and get the same picture, but for someone like me who does not do this as a career, the SP mode allows you to easily switch between predefined shooting locations for the right picture, in a snap!
- Cons: These are not drawbacks of the camera, just things that dont make it a PERFECT point and shoot. These drawbacks are countered with a low cost, as opposed to cameras costing hundreds more with the same, or more features. The first con is easy, no RAW format. The second is a rant about the size. It does not fit in your pocket, don't even expect it to fit into a large pocket. This thing has a space in my bookbag 24/7. Its small enough to sit in the palm of your hand but just slightly too bulky to fit into a jacket or pants pocket. There are other models with identical capabilities (12x optical zoom and 10+ mp) that will cost you double. If space is an issue and you have money to burn, get that one.
- Other Thoughts: READ THE MANUAL. You will be able to do a lot more, once you cross this road. Not doing so, will give you average results while taking pictures. If youre going to skip reading the manual, just save another 50 dollars and get yourself a 100 dollar point and shoot that slips into your pocket.

- Pros: Good zoom, light-weight, loaded with features, point and shoot with ease, bright and colorful LCD, color electronic view-finder, and PRICE
- Cons: I had to wait 3 days to get it!
- Other Thoughts: I ordered this camera after seeing it in a store. I researched all the comparable cameras, and found this to definately have the most bang for the buck. My wife and I love this camera. I'm no professional photographer, but if I were I wouldn't be looking at this type of camera anyways! Zoom is great and fluid. Camera operates quietly, and the face recognition with red eye removal feature is awesome! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great camera for a novice, packed with features you won't find on other similarly priced cameras.
