1 out of 5 eggsA Not So Good Camera

Pros: Sad because I loved the features!! Just the features were good but if the quality is bad then the features mean nothing!!! Poor Quality, Very Poor Quality!!

Cons: Horrible!! My Kodak 5mp takes way better quality pictures!! I have tested this camera on all settings and quality is not good. Very Grainy!

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your time. I shoot DSLRs and wanted a point n shoot but this one had to be returned!

5 out of 5 eggsFujifilm F70EXR

Pros: Great camera but didn't keep it long enough. Sent it back after two days because it turned out to be a very well used camera, not a new one. It had been used close to 10,000 times before it was sent to me.

Cons: Newegg sent me a camera that had 9,600 photos previously taken. How could that be? I thought I was buying a new camera. Instead I got a very thoroughly used camera. Shame on Newegg.

Other Thoughts: I have been a Newegg customer for many years but I doubt if I'll ever trust Newegg after this fiasco. I asked them to send me a replacement so I could have it in time for my vacation but they refused. Told me they had to get the one with the 9600 uses back first. So I ordered one from B&H and sent the used one back to Newegg.

2 out of 5 eggsLow image quality

Pros: The camera is beautiful
Menus are easy to understand
Construction is solid
Gives lots of options

Cons: Everything about this camera is perfect except what matters most: image quality. I have take pictures on almost every setting, and in both good and poor lighting conditions. Even under the best conditions (sunlight), and with the camera set to the highest quality settings, the image quality is low compared to our old 8 megapixel PowerShot A680 (the resulting jpegs are 1 to 3 megabytes, while the Canon's are 4 or 5). This seems to be because of the super-aggressive jpeg compression, but I don't know. Even daytime landscapes are blurry, when set on full auto EXR mode, and when you view them full size you can see the compression artifacts. I might think this was a good camera if I didn't have the old Canon to compare to. There is no setting to increase the quality of the jpeg compression. I experimented with the Canon under exactly the same conditions so that I could give this camera a fair review.

Other Thoughts: From the reviews I've read, it seems that low image quality is common: even as the number of megapixels has gone up, actual image quality has gone down. I don't know why this is, but beware.

5 out of 5 eggslittle gem

Pros: I turned to Fujifilm cameras after Canon starting from the famous F10. Have owned F50, and now F200EXR. F series bests other P-S cameras in many respects: excellent lens and resolution; fastest cameras on the market; excellent low-light performance, and excellent color reproduction. F200EXR adds expanded dynamic range - to 400%. In addition, in the EXR mode, it automatically adjusts the settings to get the best picture (and does a CCD binning if necessary!) True, this is a wonder. I have taken 2,000 pictures during a cruise, in various light conditions, and 98% turned out to be excellent (I am a pixel-peeper!). Worth every penny. Thank you, Fujifilm!

Cons: Low battery life - less than 150 pictures. Have a spare.

Other Thoughts: Fujifilm show a good example of money invested first of all in research (not in marketing). They beat competitors with quality, not advertisement (I do not speak about cheap Fuji models though).

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Little Camera

Pros: This little gem produces outstanding images. The low-light and natural light capabilities are particularly good. Very compact and easy to handle. The menus are quite intuitive once you get familiar with all of the modes and sub-modes. Surprising flexibility for an inexpensive "point-and-shoot"; includes aperture-priority and totally manual exposure modes, though the range of selectable apertures is somewhat limited. I've used the "Pro-Focus" mode quite a bit for flower closeups, and it is awesome.

Cons: None I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the included software, as I'm a Linux user at home, and I'm reluctant to install the Mac version on the MacBook Pro I use at work.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat camera

Pros: compact size - fits in shirt pocket, very quick zoom to 10X, excellent natural light, low light capability, very nice to have the wide angle for taking group photos at gatherings. Interface is very easy to understand. Good battery life, depending on how much you zoom and review photos/ videos and how frequently you use the flash.

Cons: a bit heavy, though it fits in the shirt pocket, you will know it is there! The zoom reaches 10X very quickly, trying to get somewhere less than 10X takes some finesse on the toggle.

Other Thoughts: Gun metal is way cool. It's a handsome camera. Lanyard is a little difficult to insert, but very secure when it's attached. I'm very happy with this purchase. Thanks newegg!
