5 out of 5 eggsBest image quality at this price.

Pros: Excellent build quality despite being made in china. you can feel the device is sturdy and elegantly packaged inside the metal case, 10x optical zoom very rare at this size/price point. very compact camera. LCD screen is one of the best I have seen in any camera. Lots of adjustable settings and options for a point and shoot camera. Wide lens. Lots of options/settings
After reading lots of reviews in the web you just can't get better picture quality at this price, this one takes even better pictures than the F80EXR upgrade, (go figure).

Cons: the option to get a gunmetal color would have been nice, but the piano black looks good.
re-certified, means ??? not new. Mine had a couple of very visible nicks on the back, but it works at a 100% and it doesn't look bad at all definitively doesn't look new, but I don't think you can get this camera new anymore, at least not at newegg price.
Has lots of options which can be annoying for some users, but for users like me is a great introduction to photography and is lots of fun, so no eggs out for this.
Mediocre battery life, but for a couple bucks you can get an extra battery at auction sites. No HD video recording, but this is a camera not a camcorder.

Other Thoughts: I can't tell the difference between the pictures of this camera and the SLR I use at work, obviously I'm not a professional photographer but I can tell when there is a big difference in image quality. If you want a no thrill no frills point and shoot stay away from this, it might be too much for a kid or a non-tech user, kinda like letting my grandma drive a ferrari, you need to at least read the manual to understand all the options and all the stuff this baby can do,when you do, you'll start to realize you can take amazing pictures. It is a great introduction to photography without having to spend $500 or more on an SLR. At this size/price point you just can't beat this camera image quality.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Camera

Pros: For the money the best camera that I have bought. Has all the features I wanted, easy to use, got to read the manual to get the most out of this camera. Good battery life. Checked the on-board light meter against a hand held light meter and the camera is on the money. Another great produce from Newegg.

Cons: Doing close up, wide angle stuff, it's hard to judge the focus on the ends, but that may be me not the camera. The portrait feature with blurred background did not work as expected.

Other Thoughts: At this price, buy them while they last.

4 out of 5 eggsRecertified

Pros: About as good as it gets for point and shoot.

Cons: Camera came with several scratches. I understand it was recertified but I took that as new but some problem fixed. This was most certainly used alot and something broke and was fixed. NewEgg needs to call this USED / Recertified.

Other Thoughts: Used Cameras can be had at this price all day.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Pros: This camera takes AWESOME pictures. The reviews I read said that it was hard to use and had funky menus, but after reading the instruction manual for about 15 minutes I am taking amazing pictures with it. I can not believe how good the Macro function works. Taking pictures up close of flowers is a breeze and they come out perfect. The SP mode works great to get that professional focus look on everything from portraits to landscape to flowers. This is the best camera I have ever owned, I love it!

Cons: NONE AT ALL

Other Thoughts: IT IS A MUST TO READ THE OWNERS MANUAL. Take your time to spend 15 to 45 minutes reading the owners manual, it will improve your pictures ten fold. It will also save you time in the end when you know exactly what mode to switch into and what effect to use. If you really want to get into it then do some research on how f stop and shutter speed affect your shot; The manual mode is very cool!!!
I bought the re-certified version, of this camera, on the shell shocker deals, so it only cost me 119.99. This is the least I have ever paid for a digital camera, and by far the best camera I have owned.

5 out of 5 eggsBest camera at this price

Pros: Many advanced features and professional settings. Good camera to learn photo. Best P&S camera at this price, especially for low light photos.

Cons: The EXR auto mode is not very useful. It's a bit complicated to learn which mode to use under different conditions. The optical image stablizer is not as good as Canon's.

Other Thoughts: This refurbished one was delivered in two days and it looks just like a brand new unit without any scratch or wear. Good deal.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat Little 10x Point and Shoot

Pros: It seems the logic card failed and won't allow any use of the camera. Message " Turn off the camera and turn on again" Nothing is restoring it, took out battery for 48 hrs., reset the settings, different SD card. It's bricked. Contacting Fuji as it is just within the 90 period recertified warranty by one week. Let's see what they do. I will update or add new post

4 out of 5 eggsDepends on Your Frame of Reference

Pros: I am a point and shoot cameraman. You know, in foreign countries, shooting from the hip rather then asking first. I sent the first camera back, 30 days, and refurbished means what? Wanted that money back, but that NewEgg marketing machine got me to take a deal where that would not be possible. Like another reviewer, I wasn't sure if they just repackaged the same camera back to me, because this had one of two scratches that I kind of had made in the case. So it wasn't the same camera but it was not new and without fingerprints like the original. Reading more of these reviews I found the secret to the camera - ignoring its overly complex interface. Anyway, this camera, and probably all others with these features, excels when zooming pictures.

Cons: Overly complex interface; other reviewers have the web blog address with comments on settings for most needs.

Other Thoughts: Very average pictures until anything is zoomed in on, wow, like looking through a telescope. Like being closer to the sunset, but with the nearby trees just as close and clear. Ended up being really satisfied after I found a reasonable price for more batteries. One egg for complex interface. Pictures seem identical when the same view is taken on different settings

5 out of 5 eggsWow - This camera rocks!

Pros: I have done photography for decades and am an old film junky. Hard to believe that I work in software and still did not own a significant digital camera! I was in St. Lucia and pictures of the stage shows at the resort were disappointing relative to other digital cameras in our group so I did some research. That lead me to Fuji's EXR family. Reading the Blogs lead me to the F200, F80, and f70s. This 72 is IDENTICAL to the F70 in all ways except the shiny black coat (which I love) - Reviews are of course mixed but the general consensus is that the F70/72 have the best image quality of all those cameras. Normal pricing is variable but well above the list for Newegg Refrub. I took the gamble and this camera is my new pet. It is light ( you can forget it is in your pocket) has great default settings for the non camera geek, and for those that want to play - this camera gives you more options to study for getting into the digital word. Read the other suggestion on camera setup!

Cons: If you just want a point and shoot -maybe too much camera .. but at this price! Why not? - this is still a great camera with so much more. I don't find it complicated - in fact the Scene modes give you default settings for everything from Portraits and Sports to Fireworks! Be aware that the F72 was made for redistribution by big box stores. That might lead you to believe that the quality control might be a bit off (or perhaps allow for slightly out of spec optics etc) - I have seen none of that - The shell paint is a shiny black and you might just throw it in your pocket with change - that will give you scratches and pits. Real camera critics may see issues with very high/low brightness areas such as fringing at tree lines against bright sky. But only at very high magnification and only if you are a pro.

Other Thoughts: I got this to test the waters with higher end digital point and shoots - I am happy I did! I might buy 2 before they are all gone. You could easily pay 2-3X the price for the image quality, low light ability, and great zoom on the camera.

You can get the missing A/V cable at auction sites for less than 2.00. It does come with the USB cable, battery, AND charger.

On Setup - the negative reviews could all be fixed with programming this camera as it is a very smart puppy! This is similar to setting up your mega plasma large screen TV. They need tuning for your intended use and look poor out of the box on default settings. Read the Fujifilm Talk Forum and you will be surprised at this camera being compared with $500 cameras. You will also learn how to drive this toy in the process. Like your large screen - they give you default setting and a how to use for YOUR style!
Get this Camera! The F72 takes professional grade concert photos while passing camera checkpoints for DSLRs.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat camera for what I paid.

Pros: Wonderful zoom. Enough features to keep me happy (for now). Better low light pics than previous cameras I have used. Brilliant pictures in good lighting.

Cons: Low light pictures have blotchy color with a strong lack of detail.

No touchscreen.

Other Thoughts: Be warned: Certain specialized shooting modes, such as one for low light shooting, will capture at lower resolutions than the camera's max of 10mp. I think I have seen it produce as low as 5mp. This is not pointed out very well in the on-screen menus.
