The  Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3 digital camera puts 3D photography and movies right at your fingertips. Capture stunning 3D images and high-definition movies and play them back on your 3D TV via a simple HDMI 1.4 connection.

The W3 boasts Fujifilm's advanced dual-CCD, dual Fujinon lenses system to capture stereoscopic images and movies in high-definition 720P resolution with outstanding image quality and depth. The W3 also features a 3.5-inch high-resolution autostereoscopic widescreen display, allowing you to view your shots in 3D on the fly, with no glasses required.

Benefitting from its dual-CCD/dual-lens system, the W3 is also a very capable 2D camera which can yield two images at one press of the shutter button – capture the same scene in different colors, at different zoom lengths and at different sensitivities.

  • newegg Shoot 3D with 3D Auto, Two Advanced 3D Modes and Parallax Control The 3D Auto function lets you take high-definition (up to 720p resolution), high-resolution movies in 3D with stereo sound effortlessly. The Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3 also offers two advanced 3D modes - Individual Shutter 3D Shooting and Interval 3D Shooting. With Individual Shutter 3D Shooting, photos of distant subjects like mountains and skyscrapers look amazing in enhanced 3D, while close-up subjects like flowers come to life in natural 3D. Interval 3D Shooting is perfect for shooting from a car, train or even an airplane to create a photo with an ultra 3D sense of depth. Sense of depth can be automatically optimized in 3D Auto mode or manually tuned by operating the Parallax Control lever on the back of the camera.
  • newegg Shoot Stunning 2D With two lenses and two sensors, the Fujifilm W3 is capable of taking two different photos at once under these advanced 2D modes - Tele/Wide Simultaneous Shooting, 2-Color Simultaneous Shooting and 2-Sensitivity Simultaneous Shooting.
  • newegg Shoot 2D/3D Hybrid The Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3 comes loaded with a variety of functions for both 3D and 2D, including a 2D-3D switch button, manual shooting functions (Manual, Aperture Priority and Program) and 3D/2D Continuous Shooting. Super Intelligent Flash automatically adjusts flash output and timing to capture subjects and background in bright natural detail over the full flash range. 13 Scene Positions are available to match the subject and situation for the best possible 2D or 3D results.
  • newegg REAL 3D Technology The Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3 incorporates dual 3x optical zoom lenses to capture realistic images that are unchanged from how human eyes see them. Newly developed stainless steel frame maintains the optical axis with high precision. The W3’s dual 10 megapixel sensors capture even the finest of details and work with the dual lenses to produce a single image with a very natural sense of depth. Moreover, image data captured by the dual lens-CCD system is processed by the newly developed RP (REAL PHOTO) processor 3DHD, which merges the left and right images into a single image and empowers the 3D Auto function.
  • newegg Expanded World of “View 3D” The large, bright 3.5" LCD screen features 1.15 million dots and an array of microscopic concave lenses to produce binocular disparity, displaying high-resolution, high-contrast 3D images and movies without the need for glasses. Now you can enjoy 3D movies and photos on a 3D-ready TV or compatible PC using HDMI connection, print 3D images directly on to special lenticular sheets with Fujifilm's 3D printing system, or edit your 3D images using the included MyFinePix Studio software.

5 out of 5 eggsA lot of fun

Pros: The camera is very easy to use. Shoots stereo movies as well as stills. I've been taking stereo photos with DIY electronically coupled film cameras with slide film for about 15 years, and this is so much easier! (And it works better).

Cons: Not really a con, but it's very easy to put a finger on one of the lenses, as they are very near the edge of the camera (but they have to be).

Other Thoughts: If you do get a smudge on one of the lenses, clean it right away! A haze on one of the lenses ruins the 3d effect.

I have a 3d tv (LG) and hooking up the camera with HDMI allows watching the movies without any problems. The tv detects that it is 3d, and everything just works. Resolution on movies is slightly lower than for stills.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this camera

Pros: Point and Shoot
Excellent 3D
Good number of Presets
Screen shows 3D immediately
Shutter Synchronization perfect, catches falling drops of water perfectly
Multiple 2D or 3D modes
Gret depth of field
3X Optical Zoom
Small, pocket sized
Lens protector slides over both lenses at same time

Cons: Point and Shoot, so lacks DSLR controls
Must allow BOTH lenses to focus, sometimes, left is a bit slower and out of focus (not often, but happens when in a hurry)
Fuji software lacks features, try free Stereo Photo Maker instead.
Can be slow to save files to memory. Must be patient
Rapid fire mode automatically reduces resolution.

Other Thoughts: My counter is up to over 6500 pictures. Shoots flawlessly. My composition often needs help, but the camera does well.

Watch scenic backgrounds. Often the sky is blown out when the land is exposed properly. All point and shoots tend to do this.

5 out of 5 eggsFujifilm FinePix 3D - Great Value

Pros: Lens spacing is great for creating stereo depth from 4 - 15'
Ability to shoot separate R and L images needed for hyper stereo.
Lenticular viewing screen allows for 3D viewing during exposure and playback
Fits in your pocket other options of dual camera units or the old 50s film cameras.
Like new condition - I would even say it is a reboxed new camera.
Solid build quality and easy of use

Cons: Battery life is low so have a spare or two.
Use a strap, it is a slippery little thing.
90 day warranty

Other Thoughts: My main use is creating stereo views on computer monitor and printed form that can be viewed using a stereoscope. I have been shooting stereo for over 30 years using film cameras from the 50's like the stereo realist or TDC colorist. This camera is like a dream come true to be able to shoot digital stereo pairs. As for the digital video and images on a stereo tv, I have yet to try that and my experience is limited.
To be able to shoot stereo images with a point and shoot and do creative editing in photoshop is very exciting to me. For $159 and free shipping, it is an incredible camera that has great build quality and functionality. I will be buying a MACK 3 year diamond warranty just in case
