4 out of 5 eggsOk digicam for the price

Pros: It's 10.1 MP so the picture quality is pretty good. Manual shutter and aperture adjustment is quick and easy to deal with. The AUTO selection does just fine if you need to take a quick picture or two. Even though I don't an SDHC card, it supports it according to the user manual.

Cons: Battery life is horrid with this camera. You can put a set of fresh alkalines in, take a set of pictures and that will be it. The next time you turn it on, it gives you a red battery indicator. It is also pretty slow when it comes to taking a picture. You press the button, hear the shutter go and then it says "Processing" for a good 3-4 seconds.

Other Thoughts: For the price, you get a pretty decent little digicam. I rely on Samsung for a lot of devices of mine and this one sort of disappointed me.

4 out of 5 eggsNice camera

Pros: Great picture quality. Price.

Cons: Kind of slow to take a picture. Drains batteries really fast.

Other Thoughts: Good affordable camera for general household use. IE. taking pics of the kids, nature etc. Much better camera than the 6 MP HP that I replaced.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Large Screen, option to change pictures from 10MP to 9MP, 7MP, 5MP, 3MP, 1MP, easy system to access pictures, manage pictures, battery/memory easily accessed, solid grip, sleek

Cons: Requires high capacity batteries (rechargeable lithium batteries suggested), no manual viewfinder.

Other Thoughts: Great camera with a great price-tag. Easy to use. Many options to satisfy pro photographers, yet easy enough for anyone to use.

4 out of 5 eggsNice overall

Pros: Nice outdoor pictures; nice exposure mode controls for this price; good optical zoom; convenient auto lense cover; small size and light weight but with a big screen.

Cons: No viewfinder!; no optical image stabilization; double-pump flash is slow and annoys subjects; noisy images without excellent lighting; battery life is poor, and strange. It takes two AA batteries and gets confused about what's remaining. Flip it off and back on and the batteries magically recharge. Firmware update please?

Other Thoughts: I bought it even without the image stabilization and viewfinder, mostly because of the other features and a heavy discount. I wasn't aware of the battery issue. That almost tips it, but not quite enough to send back. However I can't recommend this one at normal prices. Better images can be had on lower resolution cameras, especially for indoor use.

4 out of 5 eggsI love it.

Pros: I love all the options, takes great pictures, lots of manual controls. Huge 3" LCD, everyone whom I show it to is impressed. Takes better video than my video camera, sheesh. I bought a 4 gig SD card and have tons of picture storage. The Macro goes down to 1cm, which is impressive, I take pictures of scale models and that helps alot.

Cons: Poor written manual, sign of the times I geuss. PDF manual is extentsive, do yourself a favor and print it out, I did at Kinkos and put it into a binder. I am also in the process of taking pictures of the the entire manual so I can view it on the LCD when I need some help with a feature, all I do is use the zoom in to read it, lol. It is reported to have high levels of noise at the higher ISO settings than its competitors, namely the Canon SD850 IS, but the Canon is alot more money. The main complaint of this camera is battery life, with normal batteries it will get 20-30 shots before they die. With my LCD brightness set to low and the AF flash on (setting AF flash off will get you more battery life) using Energizers E2 Lithium batteries I can get over 300 pictures. But if you really want to get the best out of it get some rechargeable Nimh batteries either from Powerex (sold here at NE) or some Sanyo Eneloop (sold elsewhere), get the Powerex 2700 Mah or Sanyo Eneloop 2000 Mah.

Other Thoughts: Also get a Smart Charger with individual battery circuits like the one made by Powerex here @ Newegg or the Lacrosse sold elsewhere.

1 out of 5 eggsHaving to send it back

Pros: Great Features, Especially the large vivid LCD screen. Works well in most lighting. Takes great pictures.

Cons: No viewfinder. Eats most all batteries really quick. Getting a low battery error at power on screen and it shuts off, regardless of battery life and type. Having to send it back.....Hasn't even been a month :(

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: VERY nice quality photos.
Definatly worth any price.

Cons: MUST buy some NI-MH batteries.. the batteries that came with it, Duracell ultas, lasted maybe 10 photos.. terrible

Other Thoughts: READ: the NI-MH rechargable batteries are amazing. They have ladted about 20-25 picutres and still havn't gone to 2 bars (of possibe 3) They are a must have...
