5 out of 5 eggsGreat camera!

Pros: First of all with 8Mp, 5x optical zoom, features...you simply can't beat it for the price. I read almost every review online from the casual user to expert reviews and I would say about 90% of them were positive, so I was expecting a great camera for the price. That's just what I got too. I'm very impressed, as most are, with the image quality and sharpness this camera produces. You won't regret buying this. I've seen some give it negative reviews simply because their batteries didn't last long but as long as you have good quality rechargeable batteries and don't mind keeping and extra pair on hand then it isn't an issue. Macro mode is excellent as well. I would have to recommend this camera to either the casual user or the occasional photographer like others have suggested...you simply can't go wrong with this camera at the price.

Cons: I did notice a few lens flares in the few sunset pictures I have taken so far. Nothing too bad though. I'll have to play around with the settings and angles to see if this is a common occurrence. Otherwise, fantastic pictures!

Other Thoughts: I suggest playing around with the different features and settings/combination - getting yourself familiar with the camera and thus enabling you to get the best shot in different situations. The Auto mode work really well for P&S users also.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet Camera..

Pros: Relatively small, 8mp, very clean, crisp photos, good sized screen, great macro mode, awesome video mode, most of the buttons are positioned really well, the grip is actually really good for it's size, and the menus are easy to navigate.

And, of course, the price is amazing.

Cons: Screen is a fingerprint magnet, but almost every screen is. A little barrel distortion, but isn't very noticeable unless taking pictures are tall buildings or grids..and the x5 optical zoom isn't the best, but it's ok. =)

Other Thoughts: All in all it's a really nice little camera, I've been using it for a few months and it hasn't let me down. I was using a 4mp camera before, nut I could never get a crisp shot with it.

This baby has plenty of features, and the clarity of the shots is amazing. I highly recommend it for anyone who is a casual photographer, or simply wants to capture those crazy moments.. =D

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera

Pros: For the price you cant get much better then what this camera is... The zoom is very good and is a relativaly simple camera to understand..

Cons: The only thing is that the pics that are made with this camera are to big to send through most emails or post on some sites... Meaning that ya need something to shrink the size of the pics to do some of this, but to tell the truth it isnt all that bad...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal!!!

Pros: Great camera with outstanding picture quality! Does 640x480 motion jpeg films @30 FPS with great quality (w/sound) Super cheap price! Super simple to learn camera, just pick it up, point n shoot. Zooms in and maintains great image quality.

Cons: Doesn't come with case. When filming video, if you zoom in the audio quits recording while its physically zooming, then resumes. Eats through regular AA's. Grab some NiMH batteries and they will last forever! (All these cons had they been corrected would have increased price quite a bit!)

Other Thoughts: I paid just $120 for this. I'm no photographer, so for a regular Joe this camera is great. Is a cheap value with outstanding quality. I recommend a 4GB SD card and some NiMH AA's and you're all set!!

5 out of 5 eggsI had to buy a camera for work.

Pros: What you get for the price. 5X opti zoom, 640x480 filming, 8.2mp. My company just required us to have a camera so we can take pictures of our customer's site before and after install of equipment and I had a $125.oo cap. So I went shopping for the best bang for the buck and I could not be happier, this camera take great pictures and I find it easy to use, I have an old personal cannon powershot A40 which will not get used anymore.

Cons: For the price none.

Other Thoughts: The camera I bought was the S85S and not the S85B, so my camera is silver and not black, it was also 10.oo cheaper then the black, who knows why. When I bought it from newegg it came with a 1gb SD card free, got to love the specials.
