Pros: It's an entry level camera which takes good pictures and has all the settings that I want. Came with only few accessories, not carrying bag or anything of that sort. The biggest complaint is the battery life. I recommend getting sanyo eneloop rechargeables which worked our great for me with this camera. I'm able to take 300+ pictures before the power runs out.

Pros: This little camera is a great replacement for my wife's bulky Sony DSC-H2. So far, the SL30 takes great pictures and it takes pictures when I press the button. That was the main reason behind replacing the old camera. It's not an SLR by any means. But, it does fit in my pocket or my wife's purse and takes care of our snapshot needs. The menu and settings are simple and easy to use. Personally, I haven't noticed the battery consumption that I have read about on other reviews. This is a great, inexpensive point-and-shoot. I feel like I got great value with this camera.
Cons: A very minor inconvenience (for my wife and I specifically) is that the SL30 uses a different mini - USB cable than the ones that we already own. I'm really looking for things to write here. Switching to video mode takes a few more seconds than I would like. These are very minor problems that shouldn't keep anyone from purchasing this camera if it's in your price range.

Pros: Small. Sometimes it takes good pictures.
Cons: Pictures are often blurry. Wasted $90.
Other Thoughts: I wanted this camera for my wife and it needs to be a simple point and shoot. This does a horrible job at that. I have owned Canons in the past they always took good pictures and had a good automatic focus. I would stay away form this camera. Save up for a better one or buy a different brand or model.
