Cons: Digital Image Stabilization Sucks, Burst is a Joke

Other Thoughts: I want an Intell Q9500 to finish my gaming rig.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera, Great Price

Pros: Great camera for the price! I love the many modes, and they all work great. I find I use the action a lot, and it keeps the images sharp and clear.

I highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants great pics without paying a DSLR price for a camera.

Cons: I wish it had a rapid shot mode....I could use it!

5 out of 5 eggsBest Camera

Pros: The quaityy of the photos cna be impressive especially after you find all the bells and whistles. Love how it works -- being able to edit to some degree.
I love the rubber grip on the "handle". WHY CAN"T we spread the news about this rubber grip? Has saved it from falling more than once.
(We went on a cruise in Januardy and New Years eve did in my old Fuji.) Never had a Kodak before, might get to be a habit. Maybe I will get another one for a backup. Alaways have TWO cameras. The amount of time it took to learn the settings, but much quicker than my old Fuji.

Cons: The span between between snapping the picture and the strobe flashing. Could have a larger LCD but That would increase the price somehow. And we know who pays for R&D and production!!
Flash is the only problem, to this point.

Other Thoughts: Again it would be great to have rubber grips on the smaller camers -- Save on drop & replace rule that is a weird way of droping them esp. on the smaller cameras.

5 out of 5 eggsGood camera

Pros: I read many reviews of this product at other websites and was nervous about purchasing a 10x zoom without an optical image stabilizer. However, even at 10x zoom, the pictures are sharp, not blurry.

Another concern was low light performance under auto settings. I owned another camera that had terrible performance in low light under the auto setting, and going to the menu always took just long enough to make me miss the picture. The Z710, however, performs well in low light conditions, and although I know little about cameras, the noise that some people refer to with this camera in low light conditions is really unnoticeable. Lastly, I was worried about this camera's performance in natural light through a window with the flash turned off. My other camera either flashed and ruined the beautiful shadowing OR (if I turned off the flash) overexposed and washed out the subject. I am very pleased with this camera.

Cons: I have no cons with this camera yet.

Other Thoughts: Fast shipping on this and the other item that I ordered. The other item was at a distribution warehouse that was very close, so it was shipped the next day. This item came completely across the country, but still made it in three business days. Woohoo! I needed it to take pics of my new baby (since my old camera conked out on the DAY that my c-section was scheduled--grrrr!). My only problem would be that this camera was advertised with a free 1GB SD card, but I clicked on the wrong button when I ordered, so I didn't get the card. It's only 12 bucks, but still--don't make my mistake. If you want a combo deal, scroll down the page and click the button a little farther down that says "combo." Good luck!

4 out of 5 eggsDescent Camera

Pros: Good zoom, good color and clarity of pictures. Auto setting is great. It truly does select the best setting for the surroundings. Great camera for semi-professional pictures.

Cons: Does not have image stabilization on zoom. Nothing a tripod or even a nice flat surface wouldn't provide though. I also miss the panorama type pictures that some of the other models have.

Other Thoughts: I wish I knew newegg had this camera before I bought it somewhere else because I paid a little bit more for it. Overall, its a good camera and for the price, its worth it.
