Pros: -Easy to understand interface. -Comfortable size. Not too big and not too small. -10X optical zoom stays sharp and focused at full zoom. Minimal focus hunting at full zoom. -Pictures come out focused and sharp under most conditions. -IA(Intelligent Auto) works good compared to older technology. Automatically adjusts itself according to condition. -Offers manual mode to adjust shutter speed and aperture value. -Macro mode can go pretty close up to 2cm. Impressive macro in photo taking and video recording -Optical Zoom is useable in video recording. A big plus. Most point and shoot cameras don’t allow this. -Videos can record up to 29min in length at the highest mode (Fine Mode) -Built in microphone has good audio pickup. It is in mono channel though. -Fairly compact camera to offer 10X optical lens. -Powerful Flash with the ability to increase and decrease flash intensity. -Battery compartment/Memory card is accessible when mounted on a tripod. -H20 camera can be found at m
Cons: -Narrow lens at 38mm vs. 25-28mm on other cameras. You will need to step back farther to capture a big group of people. -Optical zoom is slow when recording a video. It takes a while to fully zoom in and zoom out when taking videos. -Pictures are sharp but image quality is not as good as my older 5MP Sony DSC-H1 12X camera. Images tend to be noisy when blown up. -Larger and heavier than the other cameras in its class. -No built in lens cap. You need to manually cover and remove the lens cap. -Battery life is a little shorter than the other competitors. 290shots vs. 300shots on the Panasonic Lumix ZS3. -Battery takes a good 4 hours to recharge. -Movie mode does not allow you to pause during recording. -Wish it had stereo audio recording like the Panasonic Lumix ZS3. -Memory stick media costs more than SD media.
Other Thoughts: Overall, this is a pretty good camera for the price, size and features. What really attracted me to this camera was the ability to capture 720P video at 30fps and use the 10x optical zoom in movie mode.

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: --fast processor. took a picture and it was ready to go in about a second. the picture came out fantastic --video w/ sound 720p...HD video. Looked great on my computer. It was not so good on my 1080p 120hz. TV. Ill get to that in Cons --10X zoom. compare and you will see it has the most. Dont confuse Optical with digital. Optical is so much better when higher and 10x is high. --10.1 m pixels and the quality is sick. Well I have not printed any pics yet but looks great on my comp and on the LCD. --Smile Shutter is hilarious. you just aim and when the person smiles, the camera automatically takes the picture. It works.
Cons: --It comes with composite cabling. to be able to view your movies in HD. you need to buy a separate cable that has component cabling. Is there one with HDMI. --U may want to buy another battery. It only takes 290 per charge. --The connector the computer and TV is under the camera and you wonder how to sit it down. on the lens or on the LCD screen.....
Other Thoughts: compare and pound for pound this is the best camera in the market for the price.

Pros: With regards to the pros of this camera 1. It has got amazing clarity and good detail at maximum zoom. 2. The smile detection works well ie., captures the pic almost at the right time. 3. For a person who wants to just keep clicking without working on finer details, the easy mode matched very well to the best pics a professional would take. 4. The battery life is also good 5. The controls are very easy and conveniently placed. 6. Overall a high end package which has got something for every kind of user.
Cons: Cons:
1. Smile detection doesnt quite work well at ranges more than couple of meters, though I didnt test it in the best of light conditions. 2. If you would like to capture with smile detection with the subject not very stable, then the pictures are a little shifted. 3.The other configurations (i mean the ones other than easy mode) needs a little more insight from the user. The manual and little bit of experience would help (though the easy mode works great) 4. The sudden jutting out of the flash in auto mode could surprise you but i m not sure if thats a con (left to the buyers discretion -- should not matter much though) 5. The LCD screen on the back should help u lot with finger print matching. Get a screen cover for that. Definitely needed. 6. As always get a memory card. Internal memory not sufficient at all.
Other Thoughts: Over all, as i said before this cam has something for everyone. Should find a place in between the basic digital cameras and the SLRs. The picture quality is great even at maximum without much of spots. This thing alone should convince a lot of the buyers as most of the pics we all shoot are not in the best of the light conditions.
Go for it if you have been having a basic digi cam for long and if you wish to up the kind of pics you would like to take. Great value for the price you pay... $stars (4 stars)

Other Thoughts: I use this camera to take pictures of my family and believe me it makes excellent quality photos. Easy to use and photo-photo is fast so I get to take photos with little time interval (very important to me to capture my hyper active kids) and I love the burst mode.
