Pros: Has a lot of pros: - Weight with kit lens is good, feels sturdy and well built. - View screen is nice and clear, touch controls work well, but you can use the scroll wheel as well to browse the menus. - E mount this camera has can be adapted to use any SLR lens ever made, Cannon/Nikon/Leica/Olympus, autofocus with those wont work except for Sony A mount lens adapters sold by Sony. - Depth of field with kit lens is great, can make nice macro shots while still capturing great landscape views with the same lens. - Smart Auto feature is what most people will likely stick with and it works brilliantly, sets aperture and iso really well no matter the shot. - Low light pictures turn out great, even at 3200 iso noise is hardly noticeable. - Better then the NEX-7 in terms of value.
Cons: Not many cons: - No built in flash, comes with one that has to have a screw rotated in a clockwise fashion to fasten it to the camera. Knew this going into the purchase so no points off. - Does not come with bacon, everything is better with bacon.
Other Thoughts: Overall a very solid camera that most places cannot keep in stock. Good luck finding the mythical silver version of this camera. I bought it from a local camera retailer and had to wait 3 weeks for it to come in from sony. Another retailer/review site mentions a clicking sound when making videos with it, I have not experienced this so likely if you order one from Sony directly it will be fine. Enjoying the pictures this is taking, bought a 64GB SDXC card to go with this and have filled it up about halfway after a month of taking pictures. Battery Life I have found to be just fine for taking pictures every now and then, even when taking a lot of bust photos over 20-30 minutes the battery did not drop that much. You can also buy a remote control for shutter control from Sony if needed for those group photos. Overall even with the price this is a great value for amateurs and semi-pro photographers, especially considering the number of lens options available due to its APS-C sensor

Pros: Im holding out for the silver.
Cons: and the hundred dollars off list that newegg had last fall...!!! These cameras are in short supply, so they are holding the price higher:(

Pros: Small Build quality Picture quality 60p video @ 1080
Cons: Battery life No remote input
Other Thoughts: My favorite camera to date, ditched my dslr for it with no regrets. Battery life is not fantastic, but acceptable and no remote input is reason for 4 stars.
