4 out of 5 eggsGood Camera

Pros: Good size, easy to use interface, different mode for different enviornment, you just have to read manual about it. Picture quality is pretty good. Use AA battery which is great. Compact compare to my S3.

Cons: Don't let the picture fool you, it's not made in Japan, it's Made in China. Finally decision was made because I zoom the picture of bottom of camera says made in Japan.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't come with Free 1G SD card, it means you have to to buy the bundle (like with tripod, case...etc) so they throw in the SD card for free.
Fast delievery as always.

5 out of 5 eggsPurchased camera as gift

Pros: I'm not an expert at cameras but, I do look for quality not junk whenever I'm purchasing an item. This one is a quality camera with features I can't believe are built into this small package such as 6X zoom, macro setting, timer, video recording with sound and much more. My mother is going to be recieving this as a christmas gift and I wish I was getting this one too. She likes to go whale and eagle watching and this camera is a great replacement to her simple 35mm film camera.

Cons: So far none.

Other Thoughts: I usually buy a lot of computer parts from newegg and have never had any problems with shipments or the once in rare time a return on RMA. Newegg has always been right there for me. When I ordered this I thought it might take a little longer to deliever because of the Christmas shopping, but, Newegg came thru and had it here in my hands in only three days. Thanks Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsPanasonic DMC-LZ7K

Pros: This is a nice camera.
1) Easy to use.
2) Many specific scene modes to get the right shot.
3) Beautiful output.
4) Uses AA batteries.
5) Very, very, very fast shutter responce. When taking pics in daylight, this camera shines!

Cons: 1) When taking indoor pictures and using normal setting, the recycle time is about 3 seconds.

Other Thoughts: For a point and shoot camera, it is very good. Has enough features to get the shot you want yet is easy to use. The menus are simple. I have taken this camera on a cruise and a few amusment parks, with an 8gb card it gets 2270 pics. Carry a few extra AA just in case and you will not miss any shots.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great optical zoom! Image stabilization! Takes nice and sharp photos. Has a lot of scene modes to choose from. I find the controls intuitive and easy to change. ISO and white balance are adjustable. Feels nice and comfortable in my hands. And like someone else said, the black is just sexy. :P

Cons: The LCD doesn't have the greatest resolution. It looks fine once I download the pictures, so I don't really care. You can't adjust aperture/shutter speed.

Other Thoughts: No viewfinder. But really, unless you're using an SLR, the viewfinder is no more than a hole in the camera body. The LCD is an accurate representation of what the picture will look like.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent buy...

Pros: The 6x zoom is my favorite feature in this camera. I was going to go for an SLR, but didn't want to worry about the bulk... this is a great solution to that problem. Is smaller than it looks in the pictures and lighter than I expected. I know others have said it before, but image stabilization on this camera is excellent. I took this to a bar and took some pretty random pictures in really low-light settings and photos came out great. Something no one else mentioned is that this camera is SDHC compatible!!! This means you can use high capacity cards which doesn't limit you to 2 gb... I believe they have 4 or 8 gb SDHC cards out now. I really like the "Scene" function that allows you to select from multiple pre-set settings that suit your specific need. Really covers many of the popular things people like to take pictures of: portraits, fireworks, starry sky, motion, etc.

Cons: I used a card reader on my old computer to read the pictures because I couldn't figure out how to make Vista x64 work with this camera. The drivers that came with it don't really help, so if you have Vista, expect problems. Hopefully, they will release some kind of update soon. Also many people have complained of no viewfinder... but unless the sun is glaring directly onto the screen, this is generally not an issue; don't know what the fuss is about, I usually use the screen anyway.

Other Thoughts: All in all an excellent buy. I did a very in depth analysis of cameras on Newegg for under $200 and this one is definitely the best. The combination of 6x optical zoom, more than sufficient resolution (7.2 MP), and good response/on-off times, makes this better than most of anything else I've seen. Price point is also excellent.

5 out of 5 eggsDefinite BUY

Pros: Flawless operation. I operate this camera one-handed because I had a stroke it doesn't miss a beat operating upside down!

Cons: One fatality out of the box though Newegg made good on it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome camera

Pros: Awesome zoom, [which is why i bought this over the Canon A560]
Great resolution and very little noise. Many modes to play around with and the antishake is AMAZING

also its black, and thats just sexy ;-)

Cons: the interface is a little bit harder to use then i would have liked, a bit counter intuitive. I would'nt recomend it if you are not technosavy and a quick learner

a bit on the bulky side

also the battery tray is sort of easy to open by accident

other then those few small tidbits, its quite awesome

Other Thoughts: hint: if you press little E.zoom button, it allows you to super zoom to 36x and it works surprisingly well.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive and good zoom range.

Cons: No viewfinder. The camera is completley dependent on the rear LCD to compose the photograph. Good luck trying to do that with the sun at your back. Viewfinders do NOT washout in sun like the LCD screens. Most viewfinders have optical adjustments so people with contact lens or glasses can see through them fine. If you wear glasses for distance, then you must take them off to see the LCD. Eliminating the viewfinder saves a little money but also eliminates a lot of functionality.

Other Thoughts: If you wear glasses or contact lens, try out the camera before buying.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera, Great Price.

Pros: Image Stabilization works great, even when using the 6x optical zoom. Great picture clarity in lower ISO modes because of this. Lightweight considering it's got a 6x zoom lens. It's got a very fast start up time. Compatible memory and batteries (SD card, AA batts). Takes excellent video clips. Batteries, SD Card and USB, A/V cables compartments have great doors (Silly when I say it, but it makes a difference!!) The flash works great, even in the darkest conditions.

Cons: Noise in higher ISO modes. No sound output for video playback through the camera's built-in speakers. Really, I am reaching here because I love this camera.

Other Thoughts: I got this camera for my birthday but I chose it. I wanted a camera that was less than $200 and had features that more expensive cameras had. This camera is a great all-around camera and there's TONS of features. I think the lens quality (optical coating?) of this camera is great. I can take a picture of a car with the sun's glare off a chrome bumper and there's no lens flare! I love the pictures this camera produces.
