Excellent buy!
- Pros: Small, lightweight, low cost, records to inexpensive media, digital files are easy to transfer and work with.
- Cons: Battery life could be better - lasts long enough to fill a 2 GB SD card.
- Other Thoughts: I purchased this to replace a JVC GR-D90. It used digital cassettes. To make a DVD it was necessary to first transfer the video from the tape to the computer. This process took as long as the run time of the tape. After this the raw video had to be converted before being burned to the DVD. It's copy and paste with this camera.
Amazing Camera
- Pros: The guy below me has no idea what he's talking about. This is a fantastic camcorder for only 250$. I bought this and a 4GB SD card and couldn't be happier.
Look at the reviews for this thing on circuit city, it's one of the best rated products in the camcorder department. I would recommend this thing to anyone I know or don't know for that matter. The screen is glossy and crystal clear. great audio and features. Up to 4 hrs of video with 4gbs. Easy computer connectivity as well as TV hookup (I've tried both)
Did I mention the 700X zoom feature..yes seven hundred times digital zoom. thats over a quarter mile by my calculations.
Don't listen to that other review, he's probably some novice camera user. This is a great product.
- Cons: Doesn't come with a case.
- Other Thoughts: Buy it.
do not buy
- Pros: Small, compact simple package
- Cons: Terrible picture! My old vhs-c shoots much clearer videos.
- Other Thoughts: Not sure if mpeg2 is the problem or if it is the cameras lens or ccd. Doesn't make since that a newer product with higher technologies is lower in video quality.
