Powerful little thing.
- Pros: - Wide angle with less distortion, ca's then others in class
- Great battery life
- Large zoom, but still a small camera
- *Optical zoom while recording video*, widescreen video too (most point and shoots can do either).
- Awesome image quality up to iso 800
- Lots of options to suit just about any situation
- Macro performance isn't the best, but alot sharper than I expected
- Cons: - Weak flash
- Forget iso 1600 (melted crayons look)
- Nice features but still feels a little expensive
- Optical zoom in video is slow and steady
- Battery/SD card door feels very fragile, and I fear breaking it
- Other Thoughts: I own a 30d, this was a gift for someone. I'm a fan of Panasonic's cameras and this one is no exception. This camera packs a crapload of features, yet maintains a generally simply user-interface. Pictures come out clear (maybe not at 10-12x) and the O.I.S. works very well. Even shooting at night isn't so bad - I could see myself using this camera. I would highly recommend this to someone looking for a powerful, walk-around camera.
