With a flat, portable profile and the high performance you've come to expect from LUMIX, the TS10 is not only versatile but also powerful. It is waterproof, freeze-proof, dust-proof, and shockproof, offering incredible durability in virtually any situation. The TS10 also has plenty of advanced technology including folded optics, a generous LCD screen, a 4x optical zoom, 14.1-megapixel CCD, MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection and Panasonic's Intelligent Auto Mode, making it easier than ever to capture amazing photos via fully optimized settings. There's also the 720p HD Motion JPEG movie recording capability for even greater flexibility.

Whether you're taking everyday shots around town or want to preserve memories from your most incredible adventures, the LUMIX DMC-TS10 delivers with style and reliability.

  • newegg Rugged Durability: Waterproof, Dust-Proof, Shockproof and Freeze-Proof Waterproof to a depth of 10ft in accordance with the IPX8 and IP6X standard, the TS10 is perfect for a day at the beach or pool; you can even use it underwater. If the camera gets dirty or dusty, you can simply rinse it off with water, no need to worry about damaging the device or compromising performance. The TS10 is also dust-proof equivalent to the IPX8 and IP6X standard so you can bring it along on a hike, while playing sports, mountain biking, climbing and more, and you'll never have to worry about dust or dirt particles entering the camera body and ruining the device. Playing hard can be hard on your camera, but the TS10 is drop-proof from as high as 5ft and has passed the MIL-STD 810F Method 516.5-Shock test standard. There's no better camera than the DMC-TS10 to capture all of your favorite cold weather moments. Freeze-proof to 14 degrees F, you can bring your camera along on your next skiing, snowboarding, skating or snowmobiling trip.
  • newegg 14.1-megapixel High Resolution CCD & 4x Optical Zoom Lens with Folded Optics Technology With the 14.1-megapixel CCD, images stay detailed and well-defined at any reproduction size. Photos as large as A2 are reproduced with stunning clarity and sharpness. Photos can also be cropped or trimmed for a more creative finished effect. The DMC-TS10 has a LUMIX DC VARIO 4x optical zoom lens with folded optics to help protect the lens unit and to give it more strength during shooting in demanding conditions. The 4x optical zoom can be extended to 8.4x at resolution of 3-megapixel or less with the activation of the Extra Optical Zoom function. Combining the Extra Optical Zoom with the 4x digital zoom effectively increases zoom power to an impressive maximum of 33.8x. With numerous elements, aspherical surfaces and aspherical lenses, the TS10 is a truly advanced unit that renders images in high resolution from corner to corner.
  • newegg HD Video Recording Action photos are great, but live video is better, especially when you're hiking, climbing, skiing, sailing or biking. The TS10 records movies in full 1280 x 720 HD at 30 frames per second in Motion JPEG format, delivering dynamic and bright motion recording in any setting, from bright sunlight to evening low light.
  • newegg Venus Engine Advanced signal processing from the Venus Engine delivers beautiful results, even at high sensitivity settings. The TS10 employs multi-task signal processing for every image, enabling high speed, high performance results. The Venus Engine also improves the precision of various other camera functions such as MEGA O.I.S and Intelligent ISO Control. Along with the boost in power and image processing accuracy, the Venus Engine also supports an enhanced noise reduction system that handles luminance noise and chromatic noise separately for greater overall noise suppression all the way up to ISO 1600 sensitivity at full resolution. This allows for nighttime shots or dim indoor images to be taken that have exceptional clarity and maintain low-light ambiance. The Venus Engine is also more energy efficient than other image processors, giving users more battery life and longer shooting time on a single battery charge.
  • newegg Intelligent Auto (iA) Mode Panasonic's innovative Intelligent Auto (iA) Mode makes just about anyone an incredible photographer almost instantly. Just press the dedicated iA Mode button and your TS10 is fully automated to optimize every picture you shoot. Four different correction and detection functions are activated simultaneously, so everything from focus to exposure is taken care of no matter what the shooting conditions are like. There's no need to mess with complex settings or try to guess which controls will best serve your image. The camera does all the work for you, delivering amazing results every time.
  • newegg Sonic Speed AF The Sonic Speed Auto Focus has been significantly re-engineered with a number of enhancements, including a higher speed actuator, more optimized algorithms and parallel software processing. Auto focus performance is faster and more accurate, and capturing moving subjects or fast action scenes can be achieved with incredible results.

5 out of 5 eggslove it

Pros: Love this camera! Bought it for my wife 3 years ago and it never quits. It's fun taking pics under water. Vacation is much more fun when you're not worrying about dropping your precious camera in a mud puddle.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Image quality is so-so, but photos and videos are both good enough for typical "snapshot/home video" purposes. The camera is easy to use, responsive and functions well. It focuses accurately, is reasonably immune to motion blur, and there's minimal shutter lag. The screen automatically brightens in bright light, which is a nice feature.

Cons: Images from this camera are never quite razor-sharp and there's more than a little graininess/noise in lower light (even when using the flash). HD videos seem to be limited to about 8 minutes per clip. The supplied software is kind of bloated and clunky, but you don't really need it.

Other Thoughts: My son took this to school with him yesterday and shot some underwater videos in the pool there. They look pretty good and there were no problems with leaks or anything.

2 out of 5 eggsUnreliable, good for the price

Pros: Cost, size

Cons: Clumsy mode selection, reliability, no lens cover

Other Thoughts: Difficult to quickly select different modes (e.g. quickly get to video), likely since having a scroll wheel is hard to make waterproof. Picture quality is only OK. There is no cover for the piece of glass that covers the lens, so I am always worried about that getting scratched, which would be as bad as the lens getting scratched.

Worked well for about 400 pictures over 2 months, including a packrafting trip with it tied to my pfd (one submersion). Then it stopped working and showed "system error (zoom)" on the display. It's being repaired under warranty, but still a hassle.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Cam!

Pros: Great camera! Great pics! I love it so far!

Cons: Very detailed instructions for underwater use... Please refer to my "other thoughts"

Other Thoughts: This camera takes great pics. I needed a camera for my travels that would be sturdy and wouldn't break easily. I've only had it for a couple weeks and I haven't used it underwater yet but the normal pics are great! I'm a little nervous to use it under water b/c there are a lot of directions for it (you have to brush it off by the doors to make sure there is no debris). Immediately after use in saltwater you have to hold it in a bucket of fresh water for 10 min and then let it dry all the way in a shady place (this would be a lot of work for me b/c I'm planning on taking it to the Dominican Republic and it would be hard to get a bucket of fresh water on the beach, also a high risk of theft if I left it out in the open) so if I use it in the water I will most likely put it in a ziplock bag just to be extra safe.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Camera works well in good correct lighting, works great underwater as long as the seals are cleaned correctly and not shooting into the sun. Almost instant on and ready to shoot. Very easy to use. Comes with silicon cover. I shoot with a Nikon D7000 but wanted a small pocket camera.

Cons: Photos overexpose on bright cloudy days so watch how your shooting. Battery life not very long, only averaging 80 shots in daylight. Lens in poor location, always smudging. Could use more manual controls.

Other Thoughts: Decent camera for the price. Dont have to worry about water or sand.
