Pros: Nice overall product, takes great video. Best feature is that it can be turned on and ready to record in like 3 seconds ( I also have a $800+ Sony camcorder that takes about 30 seconds before you can start to record, by then you have missed some good videos!) Because of the small size and fast turn on record time I use it all the time and the expensive Sony is collecting dust on my shelf. Really the video quality is amazing and the sound is not bad.
Cons: The control buttons are terrible, they are so sensitive and unpredictable that it makes the camcorder hard to use. They would have made this product much better by using a similar tactile button as on my Motorola cell phone (it's like the engineer who was in charge of the buttons never used this thing?). Also the literature on there website and also the brochures and manuals lists that there is an optional power adapter you can plug in an 120VAC socket that can be purchased to cut the battery charge time from about 3-1/2 hours to 2 hours. I emailed "pure digital" (the company that makes the flip) to see where I could purchase this power adapter and they emailed back stating that it is not available yet and can not be purchased. I think pure digital should be embarrassed by this and I think it is very close to being fraudulent advertising, since part of my decision to purchase was based on this power adapter being available which they still list to this day list in there literature.
Other Thoughts: With no power adapter available this means that if you are away on vacation and do not have a computer with a USB to charge this unit with you are out of business since you can't charge the battery if it gets low. Still I really like this product and use it a lot, I would have giving it 5 stars except for the unpredictable quirky control buttons and lack of power adapter available. I hope pure digital fixes the two items I mentioned on the next product revision then it would be a truly awesome camcorder with no equal!

Nice little camcorder

Pros: Easy to use, lightweight, nice quality for casual recording
Cons: It does what is says; if you want a professional video camera this isn't it but it is a great little camcorder for just about everything else.
Doesn't boil water.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this for my brother for Christmas. It's very easy to use, lightweight, small (mobile phone sized), and the software installs right off the device so no downloading drivers or anything. The software installed fine with window XP, haven't tried it on a Mac or with Vista.

Pros: Idiot proof lighted controls. Nice 720p HD video. Works well on my Sony Bravia HD TV.
