The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6 Lens is a super-wide-angle lens designed for Micro Four Thirds System cameras. With superior performance and by maximizing the advantages of the Micro Four Thirds system, this lens significantly expand the photographic potential of the system. It overturns the rule that super wide-angle zooms have to be big and heavy, and comes 73 mm long and weighs a mere 280 grams. It offers 100-degree angle of viewing, making it easy to include background scenery in group photos. It also boasts a long focusing range equivalent to 18-36mm on a 35mm camera lens, and a close focus of mere 6" (15cm). This lens is built with 12 elements in 8 groups, including DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) elements and ED glass element for superior image quality and minimized aberration.
Directly compatible with E-System cameras. Compatible with Micro Four Thirds digital cameras (PEN\OM-D) through use of the MMF-2 or MMF-3 (Four Thirds Lens Adapter to Micro Four Thirds Lens Adapter). The MMF-3 is dust and splash proof for use with that type of lens on a dust and splash proof body. Note, AF performance may diminish as compared to being on an E-System body.
