5 out of 5 eggsGreat Lightweight with Heavyweight Quality

Pros: This camera takes fantastic photos and has plenty of features like panorama shots and intelligent auto modes. Video is great, with several different format options. The fully articulated screen shines. The camera focuses fast and is not a major step down from a DSLR. Battery life is good enough. The JPEG quality is awesome.

Cons: Battery life could be better, and may lead some to buy a spare. Raw photos are difficult to work with and the Silkypix software is not user friendly. Neither of these factors would lead me to give the camera a negative review.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this camera to replace my Nikon D70 DSLR. The G6 is a huge step above my old D70. I chose the Panasonic Lumix G6 over the Canon SL1, and I have no regrets. The G6 focuses quickly and takes outstanding photos. The image stabilization turns the kit lens into a great shooter. The panoramic shots, auto modes, WiFi and other features truly make this camera shine. I would highly recommend this camera to a friend.
