Canon's new Camera Pan Table CT-V1, a camcorder base with a small, square footprint, is a great way to add to the value of VIXIA HF R52, VIXIA HF R50 or VIXIA mini X by tapping into the camcorders' Wi-Fi capabilities.

Controllable from anywhere over the Internet with a mobile device and the new CameraAccess plus app, the pan table can be used to monitor wide areas remotely.

Installed on a Camera Pan Table, the camcorder has a horizontal viewing range of about 200 degree in addition to a manual vertical tilt option: enough to span two rooms.

Flexibly designed to plug into an outlet or run on AA batteries, the pan table also powers the camcorder.

The accessory is great for monitoring children from another room, checking on pets while away for the day, or ensuring home security during long absences.
