2 out of 5 eggsClose but no cigar!

Pros: I bought this monopod based on the price and reviews. To be honest, it's quite well made for how cheap it is...

Cons: This monopod has only a 6lb weight capacity... I use a Canon 70D with anything from a 40mm pancake lens to a 70-200 L and this is maxed out on every configuration. My hand weight alone to balance and frame the shot is too much for this monopod.

Other Thoughts: The only thing this monopod is good for would be point-n-shoot cameras or cell phones... If you have a DSLR, don't even consider it.

5 out of 5 eggsLove It - Life became Easy

Pros: It made life easy, my hands shake and it takes care of that problem. It is very convenient to carry around due to the pouch and the height is excellent in crowded areas.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsworked well in the Galapagos Islands

Pros: Works as expected. I took it to the Galapagos Islands as the tripods on the boat was too much and also transmitted too much vibration. It is light, easy to remove from my lowepro flipside and extend the legs as I needed. Easy, cheap and worked well in the islands. It has the quick latch system for the legs. I suspect it won't last forever but at this price it works very well.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsDiscount Monopod

Pros: Haven’t had a chance to use it yet, it looks pretty sturdy like someone took off a leg of my tripod. Going to use it with my Sigma 500mm lens and see how it goes. For the sale price $9.99 what can you lose?

Cons: We will see. I am sure it doesn't compare to pro models, but for the price you really can’t lose.

5 out of 5 eggsMono Pod becomes shooting stick

Pros: Lightweight, compacts down to about 21", nifty carrying shoulder bag, adjustable foot contact for spike or nonskid pad, easy to adjust to any height up to about 60".

Cons: Hmmmm, none

Other Thoughts: I put a padded "U" shaped bracket on the top and use it as a shooting stick for varmint hunting. I sprayed black matte acrylic over the bright white wording, may do a camo to finish it off. Adjustment clips stayed tight. Foamy grip is very comfy. Spike bottom stayed put even when tipped. Great monopod, super price, blinding speed shipping. NewEgg ROCKS AGAIN.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Never used a monopod before I bought this, but needed something to hold camera steady for low light situations. Have used it much more often than expected. Easy to carry, easy to use, results in better photos.

Cons: Cannot fit it in my backpack; it would be nice if it got a little shorter.

Other Thoughts: Great deal, great product. Friends who know more about cameras and shooting (than I) agree it is a good thing to have.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Quality for the price

Pros: 67 inches! The grip is really nice and comfortable to hold, it's sturdy thanks to the aluminum alloy construction and the wrist strap is also convenient. I even used the wrist strap to hang it on the hook of my tripod to give it just a little bit more weight.
Super easy and quick to make whatever height adjustments you need, definitely better than trying to take pictures free-hand in less-than-ideal light situations.
Also i like the thickness of the strap in the carrying bag, it should last awhile no problem.

Cons: Not carbon fiber, but nothing will be at this price.

Other Thoughts: This is excellent for travel, and the bag it comes in although not the best, is still nice, I don't imagine it breaking from normal wear and tear, same goes for the zipper. Really convenient when you might not have the room for a tripod. I bought this and the Dolica AX620B100 at the same time for my Nikon D3100, and both are excellent value for the price.

Also you may end up buying a couple of accessories such as a quick-release attachment and a ball grip. If you're in the market for a nice monopod, don't hesitate to get this one!
