5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price!

Pros: Inexpensive, works well, tall enough to clear my wide angle lens.

Cons: Maybe a little flimsy, but for what I'm doing with it and considering the price paid, no complaints really.

Other Thoughts: I bet there are flashes that cost two or three times as much and don't work as well. I bought it for photographing home interiors and so far it's worked well. I like that I can tilt it up and bounce the light off the ceiling now. Using it with a Canon S5IS.

5 out of 5 eggsA good start

Pros: Really adds a wow factor to you flash photos, love bouncing the flash off walls.
This is a much cheaper flash so don't expect solid construction. However, if you take your time and be gentle, like you would with that expensive DSLR, you won't have any problems with it.

Cons: None for the price

Other Thoughts: Really is a nice starter flash.

4 out of 5 eggsdecent beginner flash

Pros: it works really well.
head tilts and swivels to adjust angle of reflected flash.
syncs up with Canon eos rebel T1i.
wait time between flashes is very short.

Cons: all plastic body is solid enough, but i don't know how tough it will be if gets bumped when attached to the camera, i'm afraid it may break where the flash attaches to the camera.

Other Thoughts: just to let you know, i never use this camera in manual mode and i know next to nothing about f-stop, iso, aperture, flashes and how it all works together.
having said that, this is a great flash for short range pictures that don't have alot of movement going on. it definetely changes the tone of the pictures dramatically. we can see 'truer' skin tones with the reflected light, even when there is a ton of sunlight coming into a room.
recharge time between shots is very short; i was able to rip through 8 fast continuous shots before the flash had to rest and charge up. when i was testing at a rate ~1 frame/sec, i could keep shooting for 20 or so pics before the flash slowed down.
it didn't do a very good job keeping up with a quick moving 3 year old, but the still shots are awesome.
we've only used this on a few occasions so i can't comment on longevity or long term stability.
4 eggs for value on this flash: does what it claims and doesn't cost a few hundred bucks.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works well for the money on a Canon SX20 is. Nice height to overcome shadows from any long lens attachments you may have.

Cons: not the sturdiest build I have seen, but can't ding it yet.
