4 out of 5 eggsGreat value for daily use

Pros: 1) The bottom, four sides and top-flap have integrated padding
2) There is an included divider that elevates the SLR w/ lens attached off the bottom of the bag
3) The only velcro used in the bag is to attach the interior dividers to the inside of the case
4) Low shine Nylon with gun-metal clips
5) Ergonomic strap and strap is long enough to sling across the chest
6) Water resistant and mesh pocket for wet gear
7) The heavy padding creates a temporary temperature barrier, allows slower temperature adjustments in bag and avoids condensation in most situations

Cons: 1) The company does not have interior dividers for resale
2) The company does not have a rain cover accessory
3) It looks like a camera bag, only available in Black
4) Bag is not well suited for long lenses (go with the larger bag or horizontally orient the interior dividers)

Other Thoughts: I have recommended this bag many times since I've owned it and every time I show it, people always like it. The one fact that I brag on is that its quiet. I hate velcro and this bag only uses velcro to attach the interior dividers to the inside of the case.

I was in Yellowstone, hiking with friends and we were caught in a thunderstorm that developed very quickly. They had rain covers for their gear where I did not. I found security in the fact that the zipper is an inch lower than the interior opening, water did leak in through the zipper but did not reach my equipment. Lesson learned and I keep a disposable poncho in the mesh pocket.

The bag is almost perfect but is not suited well for rain and thus the reason for 4 Eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Bag!

Pros: I've had several bags, and even have made my own custom video bags. This one is far superior than anything I have seen or used yet.

The yellow inside is perfect, and very high quality all around. The outside pockets could be a little bit larger, but they are also well padded and I anticipate them breaking in a little bit.

Strap is very comfy and it has lots of buckles. Maybe too much as the top side buckles I think are over-kill, but some people might like them.

Cons: I wish the outside pockets were a tiny bit larger.

One of the inside pads has a U shape cut out of it to mount a lens. It's a little awkward and I had to cut it to customize a little more as my large 82mm lens didn't fit the mold exactly.

I would have liked to see a top down setup with the camera lens pointing towards the bottom of the bag. The setup is to have your camera sideways which is awkward for storing and shooting via the camera bag.

Other Thoughts: If you have more than 2 lenses, buy the larger version. This model holds my 7D with a 82mm and 77mm lens without any issues. There is room for probably 1 more smaller lens but not another big one.

Overall this bag beats anything else out there.

5 out of 5 eggsBest shoulder bag

Pros: I tried several bags, cases, backpacks and still this is my favorite. The material is very sturdy. I use it a year or so ago and it still looks new. Love the bright yellow interior, it helped several times when I was looking for something like a lens cap, filter, spare battery!, mem card..etc. in less then bright light. It has plenty of pockets. Comfortable to wear it on your shoulder or across for longer time. Did trips in natl. parks. with it. It is secure, well padded and the interior can be fully customized to your need/lenses/bodies. Big plus as some big name bags cannot be. I had to send back one of those because only certain parts had velcro. This I can change and cost about half the price while it gives me the same or better quality. I never tried it in big rain but had in a few small ones and never had any problem.

Cons: None - Some of my friends mentioned that they didn't like the APE case sign on it and since Norazza makes them that would sound much better..
True. I thought about that too first, but I don't care. As long as it is better than the competition and cost the same or less, I'll take it even if it's called Monkey bag :) Wait, it is called that :))

Other Thoughts: The top can be closed by 3 different ways. 2 side buckles, 1 front buckle, and a zip. I only use all or 2 of these when I'm transport the bag. Most of the time I only use the front buckle or the zip so it's quicker to get to things inside. Also you can easily learn to switch lenses while on the move, just hang it in your neck or accross with the back of the bag facing outward. This way you can open it securely and swap lenses in a sec.
