3 out of 5 eggsGreat for home, not for pro

Pros: Nice and wide, sturdy, won't collapse if you run into it by mistake. Good for home videos, not for pro.

Cons: Legs are different lengths, so it stands crooked. Too short for wide range shooting. Not for pro because you can't pan left without starting with an ugly jerk. Handle for vertical motion is very flimsy, sometimes I unscrew it and just move the thing with my hand. Meant for home video not professional movie making.

Other Thoughts: Shot our first professional film with it...resulting footage was anything but. it made our life miserable by having to forever find something to put under one leg because it's shorter than the other two.

5 out of 5 eggsValue

Pros: Sturdy, portable, extendable, smooth movement. Great head for adjusting the shots. I like the option to add tension to the bar. It is definitely amazing for the value, I fell in love when I opened the box.
It also came with an extra quick release plate; very convenient :)

Cons: NONE! Perfect for me :)

5 out of 5 eggsSuits my needs perfectly

Pros: Works quite well for my Panasonic Lumix digital camera. I'm surprised at all the bells and whistles on the tripod for this price. Its hard to imagine getting a better deal than this.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm an amateur camera user, nevertheless, I cannot think of a reason why I wouldn't have this tripod if I was a pro. Perhaps the camera weight limitations?

5 out of 5 eggsSuch a deal!

Pros: Solid, professional feel
Well molded plastic components
Works as advertised
2 quick-release plates
Quick-lock levers easily open & close
Tilt-lock handle well designed
Center column has adjustable tension
Legs have slight friction (reduced slippage)
Well written, all-English instructions
Slimmer than my girlfriend (quieter also)
Compensates for my clumsiness
Doesn't get anxious
Par for my course
Would be a awesome weapon against a tri-clops
Doesn't argue politics

Cons: Legs can't walk
Panhead seems listless
Urges me to take pics
Emphasizes my motor deficiencies
Looks better next to a super model
Reminds me of 'War of the Worlds' (they all do)
Doesn't glow in the dark
Will sell better than my photos

Other Thoughts: I've used a few expensive tripods with heavier, stainless steel legs and higher quality plastic, but they seemed more fragile and were harder to adjust. This feels very solid, as though it's designed around function rather than looks. The over-sized leg clamps are much easier to open & close than those skinny ones. I love the D-shape leg design. I really, Really love the quick-release plates.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Tripod

Pros: Very sturdy, and smooth panning and tilting. Does what it's supposed to do. Great for the price. Second quick-change mount included.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If I had to find something wrong with this tripod it would be the horizontal turning lock down. It has a little bit of play in the x direction but nothing big enough to make a difference in my rating.
