4 out of 5 eggsSimple and practical

Pros: Bought it for the price, which is great based on the turn out IMO. I ran Non-Plenum CAT6 cable and CAT6 ends on 8-ports then same cable and CAT5e ends on the other 8 ports and all seem to testing the same (Standards listed might be conservative).

Cons: May come with screws, may not. Mine didn't either, but oh well. If you're rack mounting, the rack kit itself might have spare screws as I'm use to seeing this case at work.

The little white tie wraps are sufficient for basic bundling, but could use more...have some extra on hand if you're planning on going with more than 8 ports (the wider, the better IMO). As another reviewer stated, bundles get pretty big pretty quickly. A single bundle of all ports was about 4", so I split them out into 3 separate bundles (8+4+4) for organization in my usage.

Other Thoughts: It's rack mountable, but I didn't buy it for a rack but rather a home server in an upper closet. I Fab'd my own backing plate/brackets to mount this through the ceiling so the missing screws were a non-point here.

If you're not going to install this into a typical rack, get ready to come up with mounting solutions of you're own.

A good Ideal punchdown tool is great. However, f you're just doing small projects here and there a cheapo $40 kit will do just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Patch Panel

Pros: Works well.

Cons: Didn't rub my feet after I ran 1000ft of Cat6 wire through my house to hook it up to.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked fine for me

Pros: - Cat6 rated
- Reasonably priced

Cons: - Came with two cable guides, I could really use 4

Other Thoughts: Once you get a couple of cat6 cables punched down, they take up a lot of space. It would be nice to route them from either side of the punchdown blocks. As it was, this panel is relatively easy to work with and I'd buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsmine came with mounting screws

Pros: contains a little baggie of cable-ties and some cable guides that go along the back side. also came with screws -- not sure about the other comment that said it didn't perhaps they've changed how they package.

Cons: requires a 110 punch down tool -- which is pretty normal for these things although recently I've been using new style cat6 keystone jacks that are toolless and much faster to install. this unit has a pretty easy to install pathway for the cable.

Other Thoughts: category 6 cabling infrastructure is getting cheaper. wish there was an under $400 tool to quickly evaluate shoddy or otherwise questionable cat6 runs.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Very clearly labeled, a sturdy solid product. Easy to install and terminate your network cables.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Great value, I am very happy with it. Runs exactly as advertised. CAT6 is a nice boost to my network, and also keeps lines clean and organized.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: This product is working as intended. I've wired my entire house with CAT6 and am loving the speed so far!

Cons: No mounting bracket or screws included. I realize these are normally separate, but a set of screws would have been nice.

4 out of 5 eggsGo Cat 6!

Pros: Comes with simple instructions. Can be rack mounted (or cut it in half like I did so now I have 2x8 socket patch panels, one for each router). Solid construction/heavy metal. This is a good product for organizing your rat's nest of home networking cables.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't look any different from a CAT5 panel, so I don't know if it performs any better, but it's good all-around and the price is fair.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value

Pros: Excellent product, clearly labeled punch downs, great price for a Cat6 patch panel

Cons: A little flimsy so it feels like you need to be careful when punching down the cables (though I had no incidents or breakage)

Other Thoughts: Terrific value for the money. The 24 port model is great too.
