does this box I get include the physical CD ?  As I have had issues with some on line downloads. Thanks, Terry

No physical CD or DVD in this one. It will have the license code on a card inside for the electronic download. If you do have problems with the download, Symantec's website usually has some good help links to sort those issue out. Hey, don't give up on it, I think it's the best program out there!!

Question 2

If you still have some time remaining on your current Norton subscription will they just add a year onto it or will they wipe out your remaining time and just give you the new one year subscription? My current version is also for 5 devices so it is at the same level.

From each of my experience's, Norton will extend the current subscription provided that the key codes remain the same. In other words, renewal online is perhaps the easiest way...This method allows extension of calendar time without loss of days..
I usually wait until the last day or a a period of time after the current subscription expires convenient to my computer use then add the new key code series....If you buy a different Norton Product, the download process will auto detect and upgrade your system with the new version and then delete the old. 
It is BEST to have an account and work from that. If anything goes wrong, their CHAT system works well to resolve any issues. I have communicated on a couple different occasions and each have resolved concerns much to my satisfaction.....Hope some of this helps.

Is this the NEW (or) OLD version of Norton?  (Is this the 2016 version... if i buy this and it ends up not being the newest version... will it update to the newest version for free or will there be additional fees?) - just a little confused because this price is cheaper than on NORTON's direct online store/website... THANKS for your help!

The program counts down from the time you install it on your computer. It continues to keep the program by the "Updates" on the latest virus' from Norton. And it will do that for you if when you install it you indicate that is what you want it to do. So - it doesn't really matter if it is 2015 or 2016 it is from your installation date.  Get it where ever you can get it by the cheapest price. The only thing on the download is that you will not have the cd/disc in your hand. If your connection is dsl or fios you should not have any problems with interupting your download midway. But you can copy it on to a your blank media after you d/l it from Norton. Hope this helps! does this backup to the cloud like my current version?  If not, what happens to my data already backed up?

This version doesn't come with backup like 360 did.  From what I understand, you can still download the content in the old cloud back-up.  But, you can't add to it.  I never liked having my information in the cloud anyway.  Instead of paying for someone to have your files and have to pay for the service annually, you could get a USB 3.0 WD back up drive for cheap these days.  Hope that helps.

Some things might not be obvious but that is what Norton does....It builds a firewall for both SEND and RECEIVE. Thereby scanning incoming and OUTGOING traffic. I capitalized OUTGOING so that you are aware that internally generated viruses are also trapped before proliferating them to email recipients and the internet. Documents that fail virus definitions delivered to you by Norton traps and quarantines these files that you can later review.

Can you accumulate key cards, 2 or 3 years ? Buying it when its on sale !  Will the key cards expire ??

I do, never known for the authorization key to expire.  Just hate that Norton  360 is not being made anymore, this newer program does not have any backup features, I think you have to buy another type of their product for backup feature, like Ghost.
