Pros: Price--I bought this product on sale from NewEgg for $39.99. While I purchased it primarily for the security features, I now find the Norton Utilities that are included with this software to be a remarkable and useful addition to the security software as well. I have used Norton in one form or another for the past seventeen years and have had few (if any issues) with their products (CrashGuard, notwithstanding, of course!). Installation of the Norton Utilities program from the CD proved to be a bit of a problem (see "Other Thoughts" below), but a quick chat support session with a helpful and knowledgeable support technician resolved the issue quickly and professionally.

Cons: Installation of the Norton Utilities software was a bit of a problem, but was most likely due to the presence of another program on my laptop that was running in the background. See "Other Thoughts" below.

Other Thoughts: As mentioned above, installation proved to be somewhat problematic when it came to installing the Norton Utilities 16.0 software on my laptop. Attempting to install Norton Utilities from the included CD resulted in an error message that left me scratching my head and thinking that the CD was either useless or defective. However, since I had to download the Norton Security software from Norton's web site (the security software does not come on a disc in the package, but instructions for downloading and activating the software from the website are clear, uncomplicated, and easy to follow--especially if you already have a registered Norton account), it was only logical for me to request chat support and get some assistance. The representative (Vikas) was not only helpful, but was efficient in helping to resolve the installation issue that I was experiencing with the Norton Utilities CD. Basically, the support representative asked for the product key for my Norton Utilities program (Note: The product key for Norton Utilities is separate from the product key that is included in the box for Norton Security), established a remote session (with my approval) with my laptop and directed my browser to a Norton site where he proceeded to download the program in my default browser, then he attempted to open the downloaded file. When he encountered the same installation error, he then rebooted my laptop into "Safe Mode with Networking" and opened the downloaded program file and installed Norton Utilities from there. After installing the program in Safe Mode with Networking, and restarting the computer, he was able to activate the product and Norton Utilities was up and running. Problem solved!
I know Norton has a lot of detractors out there, but that has never deterred me from using Norton's security software in the past. While I was surprised to see that there was not an installation disk for the Norton Security software in the package, the increasing number of portable computing devices (tablets, ultrabooks, netbooks, and smart phones) and the lack of optical drives on said devices, this is only a logical and ecological way for Norton to provide its software to its users and I am fine with that. I highly recommend this product.
