Rating: 1/5Terrible Support! Terrible Upgrade Process from Standard OEM
Pros: None. This is licensed to upgrade from Adobe Acrobat X Standard OEM
Cons: Terrible and time consuming.
Called voice support. 2-Hour wait. They will call you back though :)
Chat. 30 minutes. Support agent didn't know what the options were. They did end up finding out that you can upgrade it. (OR I could return it to them and buy the full version.)
They can UNLOCK the upgrade and make it work. We must be in front of the computer to make that work. In many cases, that isn't an issue BUT given employee and clients schedules, it's NOT always easy.
This is a waste for us and our clients. If I known it was so challenging, we would have just ordered the computer WITHOUT Adobe and bought the full version. The extra $50.00 would have been offset by the saving of time and frustration. Oh well.
10-minute wait just to get a ticket number.
Other Thoughts: How difficult is it for Adobe to simply let Standard 8, 9 and 10 be on their upgrade list and bang, it works?
They've only been making software for +20 years.

Pros: Software has real nice features.
Cons: Upgrade is a pain, but a telephone call makes it pretty easy. And the call in process is really not painful. Still a con, but be aware it is a really mild phone process to activate.
Other Thoughts: I have Acrobat Standard 8, and this was a worth it upgrade. Archive email is really easy. And upgrade was easy - pretty much just call and give them my old license number.

Rating: 5/5Upgrade from Acrobat X Standard
Pros: Good Sale price from NewEgg
Cons: Activation required contacting Adobe support. Upgrading from Acrobat Standard versions are not listed during the activation process. A call to Adobe support got it activated within 15 min.
Other Thoughts: I wonder if the others who had activation problems ever called support?

Rating: 3/5Installed w/o Issue
Pros: Install/Activation went without a hitch. see other thoughts
Cons: COST, Adobe products are overpriced and Adobe is terrible about providing patches for OS upgrades, browser upgrades etc. Instead they want you to spend $$$ and buy a new version. Wish Adobe would stop switching the menu items around.
Other Thoughts: Did a clean install of X-Pro Upgrade on a new computer. Upon initial software start, had to enter upgrade serial #, was then prompted to choose the quilifying product I already owned (for the upgrade), and then enter that products serial number. No issues whatsoever. Note: I did deactivate the 8-Pro on the old computer prior to install.

Rating: 1/5If you have: Acrobat X, 9, 8, or 7 Standard
Pros: Just the fact that we ordered from newegg with good price and fast delivery.
Cons: Adobe web site is either misleading, not fully understandable and/or completely wrong. Website says "If you have: Acrobat X, 9, 8, or 7 Standard - Upgrade to Acrobat X Pro - 199. Software box is completely clearer by saying "You must have a valid license for Acrobat Professional (version 7.x or 8.x) or Acrobat Pro (9.x)". Nothing indicated about standard any version.
Other Thoughts: Had to find a seller for Acrobat Pro 9, uninstall Acrobat 9 Standard, install Acrobat Pro 9 and then install upgrade to Pro X.

Rating: 1/5False Upgrade Eligible Statement
Pros: Quick delivery service via New Egg.
Cons: ADOBE web site clearly says owners of Acrobate 7.0 Standard can use upgrade edition of 10X PRO.
However, box label says OK for prior owners of PRO editions, and install process provide no option to select old edition is a "Standard" edition.

Rating: 1/5Acrobat X (Pro) = GARBAGE!
Pros: NONE!
Cons: Opens a new instance every time you open a new document cluttering up your taskbar tray; can't find a setting in the preferences to open multiple documents in one window.
Can't retrieve financial statements in IE8. MY financial institution's tech support says Acrobat X (reader and editor) have known issues with IE8. Can't print postage from USPS' online Click-n-Ship for similar reasons as the bank statement problem.
Set the display for 2-up, scan in a document and it goes back to displaying a single page. They changed the toolbar icons...again!
My custom stamps and signatures did not migrate to the new release. Near as I can tell, none of my settings migrated for that matter.
Insert an existing PDF file into an open PDF file, then open the insert dialog box again, right-click a file to delete it, rename it, etc, and sometimes the dialog box refreshes the file list and sometimes it doesn't.
Even the cardboard packaging is more complex than it needs to be.
Other Thoughts: Adobe really dropped the ball with this release, and now I need to go back to version 8 Pro that worked.
I've already had Adobe's updater send a patch/service pack, and it didn't do anything positive.
Also I get to fight with whomever to get my $184 back for this mutt with fleas.
