N/A 4/29/2013 5:37:13 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 4/5	Rating: 4/5Best so far, but... Pros: I use it to import (rename+backup @ the same time) then develop and export as full jpg. LR4 is the best RAW developing/file handling software I ever used. Its file management is priceless. Easy to use and quick. You can easily rate, keyword, organize your photos. If you don't want to invest into CS you can do most of the editing in LR. Cons: It's better but not a life altering jump from LR3, so I was hesitant till i got a deal.. If that's where you are I'd wait for LR5 which should be out soon. Blurb was a mistake do deal with. I made several books with them and their QC is practically nonexistent. Some books -in the very same order - were ok some total cr... Why would a good company risk their name to partner up with such a low quality business I'll never know.. N/A 1/1/2013 10:23:47 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5A must have for photographers Pros: More uniform sliders, darker left, lighter right Brush tool deals with color temp More brush tool options Great image quality Cons: It took longer than expected to make the switch from LR3 to LR4 The UI could use a little bit of improvement Would be nice if it managed previews better, with 300,000 photos in my library previews on a small SSD are a pain. Other Thoughts: I'm not an Adobe fan but I do love Lightroom. Version 4 isn't as big as improvement as 3 was to 2 but there is no reason to continue using LR3, 4 is better. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. Did you? You can quickly pull out detail and clean up images. Interface is more intuitive than some other Adobe products. The catalog system is adequate and quick. The software is very intelligent in how it modifies shadows and lighting sources. The presets are great, giving me a lot of quick options to play around with. I also like the new layout of the development module. I’ve been using photoshop for a number of years but I feel that Light Room takes care of 90 percent of my photography needs.
