1 out of 5 eggsStick with Adobe Acrobat/Reader

Pros: Comes in a nice box. The flipping page idea is great and the only thing worth buying this software for... and then ONLY if you use it on 8.5" x 11" docs,

Cons: How many times have you pulled up a page from a PDF document and wanted to take a quick screen shot of it with the Microsoft Snipping Tool, that is easy with Adobe but with Corel PDF it is impossible as Corel will make images disappear to prevent you from "snipping" an image out of their proprietary program. And if you work with large AutoCad drawings sent to you in PDF you can forgettaboutit trying to load them in Corel PDF Fusion... those large drawings will choke and lock your computer up. This was a total waste of money. I went back to Adobe.

1 out of 5 eggsA Waste Of Time & Money!

Pros: Customer Service Good
Fast Shipping

Cons: Prepare to spend 1-3 days getting the software activated!!
Key NO GOOD on package!!
Spent 3 days in emails to get straightened out.
Pics of box, and CD required.
So far the software itself is NOT worth the price paid!

Other Thoughts: Other than the decent customer service. I wouldn't give them 5 bucks for it!!!
The cd key should not have been bad!!!
Sounded like Corel changed the format after the fact!!
No wonder it gets sorry reviews!!!

5 out of 5 eggsUpdated review after heavier useage

Pros: I am so in love with this software. Rock solid, does not crash, does exactly what I want it to do, so glad I ended up with it.
Corel support said I can load it on up to 3 of my personal machines, so long as it is only running on one PC at a time.

Cons: if you open a PDF in assembly mode and you delete a page, you can not save it with the same file name, file name has to be changed.

Other Thoughts: to the person that complained about not being able to delete a page, you have to be in "assembly mode" in order to do that.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Assembly view lets you take word docs, pdf files, and pile all of them together, then re-arrange as needed. Can even mix portrait and landscape together (or you can rotate the pages), which just happened to be exactly what I needed.

Cons: in one of my pdf files I opened to do some text editing and the only problem was that the text within pdf fusion was showing a little fuzzy. after I re-saved the PDF and opened with acrobat reader, it was fine.

Other Thoughts: As a loyal Nitro Pro user for many years, I have quickly learned to use this software and really like the interface.
The price is much better as well.

2 out of 5 eggsCorel PDF Fusion

Pros: -Inexpensive compared to Adobe Acrobat full version.
-Can open some .pdf documents.

Cons: - Does not work as well as some free software packages for reading and converting Word Documents.
- Changes formatting on MS Word Documents such that they neither display or print correctly.
- Formatting gets messed up on multi-page documents.
- Does not function correctly with many linked forms (like IRS Tax Documents).

Other Thoughts: I have looked for an alternative to Adobe Acrobat to work with .pdf forms. I have been using a freeware version of a German software which actually works quite good. I was going to purchase the full version of that software when I saw Corel PDF Fusion go on sale for less money and thought I would try it. A mistake.

Corel PDF Fusion does not even do the most basic tasks like convert MS Word documents to .pdf format without significant formatting errors. This program does not open or save mult-page documents without errors. This program does not open .pdf forms documents correctly and does not save those documents without significant errors - even though they appear to be correct on the screen. In particular, I had significant problems with the USA IRS Tax forms.

My evaluation was not in-depth because Corel PDF Fusion would not perform some of the most basic functions that this software is required to do.

I recommend that you seek out and evaluate other alternative software from Corel PDF Fusion.

5 out of 5 eggsGood For Editing

Pros: I have my assistant edit my work with it, rather than pay a lot so they can open different files just to clean up my work.

Cons: Not intended as a stand alone office Suite.

Other Thoughts: Data entry ain't my forte, but my MicroSoft Works is getting old in the tooth and even though I remember how to use Access very well I'm not shelling out large coin for Microsoft Office Pro (on-line)!!!

1 out of 5 eggsWon't install on Windows 8

Pros: None

Cons: Would not install on a Windows 8 Pro. Hangs 2/3 of the way thru. No activity in Task Manger. Waited 20 minutes on a core i7 with 16GB of Ram and an SSD for OS and Programs. This PC is overclocked to 4.7GHz and boots in 18 seconds so 20 minutes is a long time. Thankfully I only paid $20 for this.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Great for PDF downloading, editing, and interfacing with Word 2010.

Cons: Using "presentation view," I can't use a search feature (control F). There must be a reason, so I'm not saying that this is a con, it's just a fact, and it annoys me. It takes another keystroke to revert to a "view" that you can use the cntrl F to search for a word or phase. Not a big deal, but it's the only thing that bugs me.

Other Thoughts: After using "free" PDF converters and trying to avoid the high cost of Adobe products, this is just what I needed. I receive PDF edits from a publishing company and needed software like this. Bite the bullet and pay for this instead of trying to get by with a "free" version. It's been worth the modest cost to me.

1 out of 5 eggsNO SCANNER SUPPORT - Avoid!

Pros: None

Cons: Two very major problems:
1. NO scanner support.
2. Does not render previously edited Acrobat PDFs properly. Properly is probably too kind, try at all.

Other Thoughts: I have used Acrobat 9 pro for years. I thought it was time for the current version. So in looking at at alternatives, I downloaded Fusion PDF.

I am glad I tried the download before buying as Fusion PDF is no longer on my system.

A classic case of you get what you pay for. Buy the latest Acrobat, you will be happier in the long run.

1 out of 5 eggscannot delete pages

Pros: Installed OK, looks decent for minimal editing.

Cons: There is no way to delete one or more pages from a PDF. The Delete option is always grayed out. The Help file contains nothing about deleting pages. Corel Support provided 2 methods of deleting pages but with the Delete option permanently inactive / grayed out, it it totally inaccessible.

Other Thoughts: crapware. should have bought a pizza instead. purchased direct from Corel when on sale. Wasted $39.
