This is amazing! This is kind of really exciting." -Addicting. Cons: -If you're using Windows 7, save yourself some frustration and be sure and set the display to 'Smaller (100%)' even when installing otherwise it bugs out the text and panels will refuse to show up. Supposedly, the service pack 1 Corel released was suppose to have addressed this, but it still didn't work for me after installing it. I ended up making a separate profile on my computer just for using Painter with the 'Smaller' display b/c otherwise the display is too small on my monitor. FYI: display settings can be accessed via Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Display. -Addicting. Other Thoughts: Be sure and check out the awesome perspective grid tool (it makes drawing in perspective much easier). I mostly got this for my sister who likes making art (and is computer illiterate), but I'm sure I'll have plenty of fun with it. From what I gather, there are two tools the pros use extensively: Adobe PS and Corel Painter. PS has tons more features, but be aware that it is, at its heart, a photo MANIPULATION program, whereas Painter is designed and made for simulating real world painting and drawing. So if you're aiming for painting and drawing in the traditional sense, Painter is cheaper and better. Don't kill yourself - use a decent graphics tablet with this!(Wacom products are advertised as supported, but I'm sure others work also) Given that this is a professional, massive art program, read the manual and be prepared for it to take a while to get used to it and become proficient.
