get photoshop instead
Pros: versatile interface, pallete board a plus, lots of brushes already installed, few errors, decent layer management, good for texturing, half decent for drawing, has some nice features like kaleidoscope
Cons: for what you are paying for its not worth it. terrible for shading and coloring, selection tools are sloppy, runns oddly at times when not maximized, no select tab, edit tab is limited, overall very limited
Other Thoughts: this is a decent artprogram for playing around a little but if you are serious about art you should get photoshop. this program is extremely limited but is fun for the first few weeks. also they do give you a color mixing pallette which works decently

Pros: Fantastic value for the massive toolset you are given. I'm new to digital art, and got this partially to make photo editing easier with my new graphics tablet, but am really looking forward to learning. I see why the pros use this program to create the works of art out there--truly amazing how Corel has digitally recreated brushes/pens/pencils/chalk. It's overkill for me at this point, but I want to learn and at this price point--especially at the sale price I bought it at--I can't go wrong. Corel has some excellent tutorials on-site and tons of other resources for noobs like me are out there on the Web. Looking forward to it!
Cons: Learning curve is high, but knew that going in.
Other Thoughts: This is the package to get if you are not a commercial pro. All the program features at a fraction of the cost. Grab an awesome price/performance-valued MXXoprice graphics tablet and dive in if you're new like me. Highly recommended.
