Pros: Had this when I bought my HP Laptop. Installed it on there as well as my Acer Netbook. Worked great from the beginning, I never have to worry about viruses or other threats. However, when I tried to update on my Acer Netbook, it crashed my computer. My Acer had XP, and my other buddies said it crashed on some of thier XP comps. So I had to buy a new one, but it was worth it. Gives me alerts about CPU and Memory usage, a huge plus. I will always buy N360.
Cons: When I tried to update on my Acer Netbook, it crashed my computer. This only happened once, no need to take an egg away. Also the price is a little high, but its worth it.
Other Thoughts: Every time my subscription expires, its back to the store to buy another one. I run a Manuel full system scan every week with Norton, and my HP runs perfect. I love this product.

Rating: 4/5Improved
Pros: Key features:Registry Cleaner, Disk Optimizer, Anti-Virus/Spam, Backup (though I havent used it so dont know how it really is) Doesnt seem to be a resource hog and has eliminated some viruses that my other softwares missed Also can be used on 3 PCs
Cons: High price? (Hence the 4/5, seems a bit high but if price is ignored than this software has done a great job for me) Was $80 when I bought it
Other Thoughts: Great improvement from what Symantec was before (though I never had Symantec before but from what I know they were pretty bad)

Rating: 5/5Symantec 360 V5.0
Pros: Easy to install. This product is light weight, does a good job in scanning in background with out impacting CPU Performance. I migrated from Microsoft Essentials to Norton 360, did notice Norton 360 found lot of Trojan viruses which MS Essentials could not.
Setup and configuration is easy. Norton has improved User interface and performance with this product
Additional Tools
Registry Cleaner System performance monitor Network Traffic map
Cons: Backup manager is not good. 2GB Allowance is also very little. I ended up disabled the Backup service.

Rating: 5/5It's Nortons : what can I say !!!!
Pros: I have used Nortons in the past and like many was somewhat dissapointed with it's resource usage and CPU drain; But, this time around I was quite surprised "It's Lite" !!! I am running Webroot Complete 2012 back to back with this Nortons 360 2012 without a problem; And, the Nortons is just about as fast (with a quick scan), as webroot. I am running a core2duo E8500 (3.16GHz), with 4gb DDR2 6400 G/Skill sticks of ram (as apposed to a P4 HT 3.0), which may have some inpact on CPU speed; But, either way I am currently impressed with the new product line.
Cons: I did have some problems with the initial installation and had to downloaded the re-install program; And, used it about 3 times, before I discovered that something had unknowingly reset my "Internet Explorer 9" settings. I reset these back to the default settings and everything has worked like a charm since !!!
Other Thoughts: I got mine with the two discounts; So, basically they were free (after I recieve the rebates). Try them I think you will like them: They are lite !!!

Other Thoughts: Fine, I'm a Symantec/Norton fanboy. I use Microsoft Security Essentials on one old "beater" PC with no critical data on it. It's o.k., but I'd rather run Norton. It's like shoes: I'm comfortable with these. You might say "with mine, you can run faster and jump higher", but I like mine. I'm not discounting your claims, I just feel mine does alright by me. Norton has never failed me in 14 years of use.

Rating: 4/5Good product -- bad business practice
Pros: Norton has definitely stepped up their game in the previous years. The interface is easier to use, Installation was easy and overall virus protections seems to be on point. Overall a good AV product for those considering to purchase
Cons: Never thought I complain about this but I dont like it. The rebate. When I purchased this product it came with a $45 rebate. Hence the purchase becomes free. Technically no. The rebate is in the form of a VISA debit card. Meaning you dont get the cash back to maybe save or put toward your newegg account. It has to be spent on something. I personally dont like it when companies do stuff like this. It seems sneaky. Upon doing some research the main reason(s) why companies give out debit cards instead of a check is that they benefit in many ways by giving you a prepaid debit card.
-They can track what you purchased. -If you forget to use the card b4 the expiration date, they pocket the money. -Card has to go through as credit so at times the company who issued the card gets a percentage -If you have a left over amount, lets say like $1.50. Its difficult to charge such an amount so the consumer usually ignores it. Guess who gets it?
To me another example of
Other Thoughts: Norton makes a good product. That I give to them. But the whole rebate thing left me with a bad view of them. It just seems like another example of a company that will find anyway to get as much money as they can from the consumer.
