Pros: As always, excellent software from Intuit for doing Fed and State tax return. Still the best consumer tax software available. The format was a little different this year, but very intuitive and easy to use. Free electronic filling of Fed return was nice, previous years you had to pay.

Cons: Since they wanted to charge for filing State return electronically, I used TurboTax to do state on paper, and then used free online state application via my state's website and plugged in the numbers to file State tax return electronically.

Other Thoughts: The fact that the competition was offering free e-file may have forced Intuit to do the same this year.

Pros: Price matched or beat local retailers and included shipping to my door. Walked me through every step of the tax forms and allowed easier access to previously entered data for modification.
