No Hassels
- Pros: Doesn't get any better then this.

ESET Anti-Virus
- Pros: Price. Works on Windows 7. Not very resource heavy.
- Cons: Works on Windows 7 after you download the right file. The software on the CD does not work for Windows 7 64 bit. The scan seemed a little slow taking 40 minutes to scan 48 G and this was with a processor and memory with WEI of 6.3 and the HD was rated 5.9
- Other Thoughts: It was sort of a pain in the neck to download and install this but if you did the activate and got your user name and pw from ESET then it was not too bad. There are 2 versions for the Windows 7 download , 32-bit and 64-bit. Just make sure you get the right one.
- Pros: It has high reviews? Haven't used it long enough to tell if it really works, but so far, it does have a low resource footprint.
- Cons: It took me a month to register it and receive updates. The registration process is a joke. It takes you to an error which states no solution, just "please contact support". Which I did. No reply. Contacted them a second time, then finally got a reply..after having to send in all kinds of info, including the invoice, they were kind enough to register it for me and send me the user/password. A huge hassle, but they came through...eventually.
So far, it has had one false positive, calling a video game a virus due to the encryption in the software (common issue). Easy enough to turn off, but still had me worried for a second. Not a big deal.
- Other Thoughts: The registration process needs work, but still a decent product. Still not sure if I will renew next year.
