It works fine and I have not noticed that that it is installed, other than it interfered with one existing app and caused that app to stop working. Cons: No where does it tell you that this is only a 1 year subscription except on the box. I am a huge NewEgg fan so I e-mailed them to let them know of this oversight and they said that it was caused by ESET and not them. They offered me a refund, which i did not accept. Other Thoughts: I remain a huge NewEgg fan. The service they provide is so much better then every other site I frequent. Did you find this review helpful? Cons: Unintuitive interface for both the installer and the app. Not worthy of a Mac. Took me forever to figure out that after entering my name, email, address, and phone number that I had to also click on the drop-down showing "United States" and reselect that so that it would ask what State I lived it. Then it finally allowed me to activate it. It would highlight the serial number indicating that there was a problem with that. Not the case. Very clumsy interface. Have seen better on a Windows PC. Other Thoughts: Not sure this is needed for a Mac but decided to buy based on the intro-price and proliferation of Apple products. I think the vendor has a long way to go with this product if they want credibility. Not sure I will leave it installed. My 3-Egg rating is generous. 3 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
