Flight Simulator X

Pros: Price was right when purchased

Cons: Will not install. MS will not reply to my support requests. Many issues posted EVERYWHERE about MS FS X

Other Thoughts: I would have liked to give this a go, but I can't get it installed no matter what I try. Been through the MS FAQ's etc to no avail. I've sent them emails, but never heard from MS. JUNK coaster. Wished I could get my $ back for something that works.

Pros: This game is great for what it is. A flight simulator! I have been using this software to practice flight maneuvers and practice instrument approaches on my home PC before actually taking out a real plane and doing them. It's amazing to see how much detail and thought has gone into replicating the art of flying a plane. When I fly in the simulator I also connect my flight yoke and pedals with the throttle bank in order to replicate the flight experience as closely as possible with out spending $150 and hour to do it for real.

Cons: The graphics are very demanding and can sometimes detract from some of the playability depending on what you may be doing. Flying a precision approach with laggy graphics or tearing can be somewhat of a chore. Some of the Precision approaches need to be updated, but, it's a small price to pay when I can cut flying costs a little bit.

Pros: It has very good graphics considering the size of area to play and also is a great selection of aftermarket addons, senery, aircrft, etc

Cons: It is a Very demanding game. My PC can barly handle max settings

Pros: I ordered this copy of the game for someone else but I have had a copy of this game for years now.I still play it all the time.It is that good and never gets old to me.I will tell you that what it says on the box about what it takes to play it is not that truthful.You may turn it on with what it says but to play it with the setting turned up or maxed out will take way more pc power.I run it with a amd 975 phenom II X4 @3.6 with a cooler master hyper 212+cpu cooler on a GIGABYTE ma785gm-us2h motherboard with hyperx DDR2 1066 ram (8gigs).Evga GTX560 ti 2gb video card with a pci slot cooler fan above it with 2 70mm fans to help cool the card.XFX 750wt black edition power supply.Hp 24x optical drive.WD c. black 640 gig HDD.All in a InWin dragon rider case with 10 120mm fans in it.You can run this game with less but this is what it took for me to run this game smooth at 60 fps.I have the evga GTX460 2gb video card too and it will run the game just as well in this system.Try it for yourself.

Cons: None other than what it says you need to RUN this game.You will need way more pc power to trun up the settings to something you will love playing.I run this game on windows 7 home prem. and I have had no issues running it on windows 7.It list XP and vista on the box.I have loved the game from day one and I think anyone who likes flight sims will too.Try rise of flight iorn cross as well its another super flight sim.

Other Thoughts: I started out trying to run this game with a evga gt240 DDR3 1gb video card years ago and I had alot of issues.When I went to phenom II x4 cpu from a athlon II X4 and added more ram helped some and I could run ti at arund 25 to 30 fps but it was not smooth.The evga gts450 card I went to next helped some but it still would only do arund 45 fps and run smooth.The evga GTX460 2gb card was what it needed all the time to run at 60 fps and run smooth as silk.The evga GTX560 ti 2gb card runs it even better and I think this is what you should try to run it on.It works the best for me but everyones system is what it is and they are no 2 alike.I have another gaming pc with 8 gigs of DDR3 1600 ram and it dose not run any better on it.8 gigs is that magic number of ram for this game.I have run it with 4 gigs but I did have some issues at that number.I have also run it with a athlon II x2 250u cpu and I had alot of issues running it with this cpu.Just try it and find out what works best for you.

Cons: low graphics, waters not as good as i expected but for a sim game in the 2006 its ok

Other Thoughts: its only 20 bucks not bad.

Pros: Very little to make this any better than any other flight simulator that I have purchased in the past.

Cons: The cons are many, first the graphics are extremely unsatisfying and the planes do not act as if they were working according to specs. The program stalls and I have a high end graphics computer just for the purpose of flying flight simulators. I have a Quad-Core Processor and fast graphics card and still cannot make this program work the way it is supposed to and is advertised to.

Other Thoughts: Am completely unsatisfied with the program and do not recommend this program to anyone. Should you have the choice, by a copy of FS2004 or even lower. There are many sites out there with perfectly good add-ons for these programs, but I am not recommending FSX.

Pros: great overall graphics quality and range. it is amazing what you can see from the air in a game. this is a very realistic game with great calibration of controls and realistic flight abilities. the freedom of flight is great along with the vast selection of missions. great all-around flight simulator

Cons: It would be better if they had fighter planes and fighting missions. It would make it a whole lot more interesting. All the missions are passive flights and rescues.

Other Thoughts: As I have a fairly old computer (7 years), I have not been able to experience the full power of this game or load any aircraft or terrain off the internet. That has been very annoying, but when I upgrade my computer in a couple of months, I will be able to see the full spectrum this game has to offer. I'll have more then.

Pros: for the money its a great buy! I love this program.
I am going to join a virtual airline and this game is the only way that I can.

Cons: you have to have a quad core cpu and at least 1 graphic card.

Pros: Great game with cool missions and amazing graphics (if your computer can handle it).

Cons: A little more time should have been spent on playability.

Other Thoughts: Some people get bored just flying. My remedy to that is to join a virtual airline. If you want to memic a real airline, then Delta Virtual is the way to go. If you want to fly passengers, but also cargo and executive/charter flights, then Westwind Airlines is the way to go.
