What do you say about the foundation of everything we do on the PC? Microsoft Windows, since its first release, has become an integral part of our computing lives. From photography to e-mail, gaming to multimedia, Windows is the framework on which all the other applications and programs are built. Without the Windows Graphic User Interface, nothing else would work. This is by design. The developers at Microsoft have worked hard to incorporate every aspect of digital information management and entertainment. Windows XP Professional Multilingual is developed specially to cater to the foreign user who wants to use XP in languages other than English.
The OS is ideal for businesses that operate internationally and utilize different time zones, currencies, or date formats as regional options, apart from having staff or clients who communicate in different languages or require language-dependent keyboards or input devices. Regional preferences, fonts, keyboard layouts, sorting orders, date formats, etc. can be set.
Windows XP includes a suite of features to help you protect your PC from hackers and phishers with the latest security enhancements and regular “patches” from Microsoft. Apart from the multilingual capability, the XP MUI Pack offers all the power packed features of the regular XP Professional Edition. It is designed to deliver superior reliability and security for both business and home users. It’s simple and easy to set up for the various users in your family, connect several computers, and there are controls which allow you to restrict and monitor a child’s internet travels. Web browsing is a cinch – Internet Explorer 6 provides a simple interface for web browsing and reading, and helps secure yours system from outside interference. This is the base on which every other personal computing program rests, and is essential for your PC.
Excellent Combo if You Want Other Language in XP
This review is from: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Multilingual SR2 w/SP2B 1 Pack
Pros: Licensed XP Professional with a full multilingual package
Other Thoughts: I use the multilingual package at work. If I remember correctly Microsoft developed the package for multinational corporate clients. But this is also a practical solution for individual s who want to run an XP in languages other than English without buying expensive (and sometimes hard to find in the U.S.) foreign language version of XP. Once installed, most of the interface including menus and dialogs turn to foreign language of your choice, and it is hard to distinguish this from the foreign language version XP. And you can revert back to the original English at any time you want without uninstalling and installing XPs.
