3 out of 5 eggsSOP (Standard Operating Procedure)

Pros: No limit on outlook pst file size

Cons: Microsoft changed the interface for all the programs in the programs for no apparent reason. (very frustrating)
They also changed the way that outlook looks at emails so that some emails come in and you can't see the text.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: there's nothing to really write about. It's a microsoft product with yet another new look and feel to it. Much easier to use than older versions once you get used to where everything is located. I use this for work daily and never once have had a problem.
(Installed on desktop with xp x64 and laptop with vista 32 and both run perfect)

Cons: A little harder to get used to compared to the older versions? otherwise...none

5 out of 5 eggsOffice 2007 -Like it better every day

Pros: I use the trial, beta version for a few weeks almost two years ago and found it frustrating and did not purchase. About 3 months ago I decided to try again and bought it and now I love it, especially the many new features. I am used to the ribbons, etc., now and use them with ease.

Cons: Needs patience and persistence plus a bit of adventurousness to begin to get the feel of its cornucopia of innovations.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Great upgrade for Vista especially if you want Outlook. Can install on more than 1 computer.

Cons: Changes from Office 2003 requires a little learning curve.

Other Thoughts: I have 2 new Vista computers (a notebook and a Desktop) that came with Works (Works qualifies for Office 2007 upgrade). Apparently the license is good for my 2 computers (the old upgrade was always good for 3) and they installed on both just fine. Registering and updating went without a hitch.
If you want Outlook as part of your office package, don't buy Home and Student version because Outlook is no longer part of this package (you have to use Windows Mail).
I've found that finding menus and features is a bit like an easter egg hunt, but after working with 2007, I like what they've done. I was happy with 2003 but Vista won't run it so you have to upgrade to 2007.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tip

Pros: No surprises.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Reading in these reviews that one does not need to install a prior version before installing this version was a great help. On install it will as for a disk of prior version, see the disk you direct it too, and then continue with the full install from the upgrade disk. Piece of cake.

5 out of 5 eggsImprovement over the Office 2003

Pros: This is my 2nd purchase of MS Off/07. I do find that the Office 2007 has many more enhancements over 2003. It took a little bit of learning & getting used to the new goodies but well worth it.

Cons: As usual........the price for Microsoft products.

Other Thoughts: If I were a student or in any educational profession I can get this same version for $99.00.

5 out of 5 eggsLearning curve but hey its newer

Pros: Installed as an 'upgrade' even though there was no previous MS Office software installed since my operating system Vista64 Ultimate also was a fresh install. The key here is after inputing in the products serial number and clicking next -- the installer advised that no previous Office Edition or qualifying products was found and to insert a CD of the previous Office Edition or qualifying software and browse to it. I popped in my Office 2003 CD into my other optical drive and voila! the installer continued.....

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The new interface is not all that bad and like any software there is a learning curve to understand all of the new details. After all it's 2008 and why use 2003 software!
Smart idea allowing previous purchased Office and/or qualified products not installed to be able to do a clean install of the latest Office Edition and not upgrade an old install

5 out of 5 eggsNo upgrade product needed if Notes 2007 installed

Pros: Installed on Fujitsu tablets that included Notes 2007 for $15. This "upgrade" then installed without asking a previous product CD. Apparently Notes 2007 is a qualifying upgrade path. Nice oversight, Microsoft!

Cons: Horrible new interface that hides and rearranges features/settings for absolutely no reason other than to confuse long-time users, much like Vista does.

Other Thoughts: Try OpenOffice...it's FREE and opens/saves Microsoft Office documents without the dreadful new Office interface.

5 out of 5 eggsSave $$$ over full version

Pros: Cheaper than the full version. Comes with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Cons: The ribbon (Microsoft's nem menu interface. I thinkl they move everything around just to confuse us.

Other Thoughts: I used this on a new build with no office product installed. During the installed it asked me to put in the cd of a qualifing product:
Works 6 or later
Works Suite 2000-2006
Any 2000-2003 Office Product or Suite
Any Office XP suite except Student & Teacher

Popped in my Office 2003 cd, took it out, put the 2007 back in and did a full install - sweet!

5 out of 5 eggsGood software- challenging packaging

Pros: Installed smoothly and visually very pleasing. I do a lot of document editing and I really like the feature where formatting buttons appear right by the cursor when you highlight text rather than having to move the cursor to the formatting tool bars at the top of the screen

Cons: Using Word as editor in Outlook doesn't seem to be an option and I don't appear to be able to open Word docs from Outlook- have to click back to Word.

Other Thoughts: Packaging is challenging - note the product key is inside the box and is not the numbers on the seal. I was concerned about damaging that and not being able activate the product. Rip the seal right off and you can finally open the case.
