5 out of 5 eggsA little pricey but,

Pros: What to say. Its software. Office 2007 is nice, but pricey. What can you do? I work as a pc Network on a large network. I recommend going into the save settings of each program and have it save as the 2003 format. The new formats will confuse users as others will not be able to open them without the converter from Microsoft. It will save you the headaches later.

Cons: Expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product!

Pros: All of my original Office applications & features, with more to boot and a beautiful interface. Love the ribbon style! Flawless install, hassle-free updates. Also, One Note rocks. I use it to keep track of a ton of things and the individual notebooks with sections and pages is pretty sweet. The fact that I can link stuff into One Note from almost anywhere is great too!

Cons: None that I can think of... may take some getting used to for some.

Other Thoughts: Works like a champ in XP, Vista, & Windows 7. Files saved for Compatibility w/older versions of Office suite seem to work fine as well. Didn't buy from Newegg though, I received a copy of Enterprise edition through my company for 10 bucks. Can't beat that deal! :)

2 out of 5 eggsScratched Media

Pros: It's Microsoft Office 2007. Once you're used to it there is no going back baby! File sizes are way smaller than previous versions of office.

Cons: My media showed up knocked out of the jewel case and was sitting inside behind where it should be in the retail case.

Other Thoughts: I don't fault newegg for the con, but rather the folks in Puerto Rico. This was obviously a mfg defect. I have no idea how they managed it, but it sucks paying retail prices and having this show up with a scratch on the disk. The scratch isn't deep, so I am able to read the media in my drive thus I'm not going to go through the RMA process.

4 out of 5 eggsOffice 2007 in all it's Glory

Pros: Having the most Up to date version of Office is nice.

comes in a fancy plastic case that will make you feel bad for throwing it away and also confusing to open.

But the disc is Really pretty! (just one disc btw)

Cons: when first booting up computer,Outlook 2007 is very slow to load and switch between calendar, email and other modes, it's faster if you close it and start it afterwards but if you restart computer it will start up slow again.
will take some time getting used to words new look especially if you were still using word 2000 like me.
but the files are backwards compatible which helps just make sure you know which version recognizes what.

Other Thoughts: Only Includes word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007 & Outlook 2007 none of that other stuff you get when you buy office ultimate like one note 2007, Access 2007 etc. Lets hope we don't have to upgrade till at least 2012

1 out of 5 eggsUnhappy

Pros: If you are used to using office 2003 then NONE!

Cons: Just about everything. Does half of what 2003 lets you do at half the speed. Microsoft software is really getting VERY BAD. It is just flat out annoying me more and more. It really upsets me when I think of all the money I wasted on this over hyped piece of MS junk.

Other Thoughts: If you want half the options and half the speed but twice the headache then this is the software for you. Ribbons are horrible. Forcing you to use Word as the email editor is horrible. Whoever thought this was an upgrade at Microsoft needs to find another job because they don't have a clue. Vista is really bad too but that's another rant (I want to use my computer, not be restricted by it).

Bah

5 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: Very nice product, I think the ribbon interface is amazingly simple to use and good for those that have not yet dived into office products before. The Outlook indexing is very nice as well, I love the instant results as I'm typing my search criteria in, though I will say it works much better natively in Vista than when on XP with the add-on for XP MSFT has.

Cons: None really, though you could call the learning curve a con, it's really just a part of technology evolving, if you don't like to learn and are in the IT field, you need to find something else to work with I'm afraid, it will never be the same long.

Other Thoughts: Just as background, I've been using Office 2007 since beta and then after release through my workplace's MSDN subscription up to the point where I lost my laptop for a desktop, at which point I started using it at work exclusively, am planning on purchasing the standard edition here soon.

3 out of 5 eggsNOT for servers

Pros: outlook's indexing makes searching much faster than in previous versions.

Cons: Does NOT work on 2003 server although it's listed as a supported OS here. You must buy volume/corporate licenses in order to install on a server. You get an error message when trying to install a retail version on a terminal server.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

Pros: I love microsoft software. What can I say...it works. I dont get the negative comments. Whats so hard to learn? Very easy software. I feel it is also a great value for what you get including future maintence (updates). Newegg is the best.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Vista 64bit, EVGA 780i Motherboard, EVGA 8800GTX, 4 gigs Corsair ram, Coolermaster Stacker 830 w/ 1000 watts of power, Samsung DVD lightscribe burner, Dell 2408wfp Ultrasharp, Quad Q6600 Intel, Two ea Western Digital Raptors 150gig 10000rpm, Zalman Fan Controller, Logitech G5 mouse and G11 Keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsA solid office suite

Pros: Thew ribbon interface had me up and doing basic formatting in seconds. Live preview of format changes.

Cons: There is a learning curve, but once passed, using the suite is solid. I've never liked how expensive office software is. New file formats are not backwards compatible with previous Office versions.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded after working with the trial version and quickly grew comfortable with the new layout. It installed and ran fine under Vista Home Premium.
