Great Product!
- Pros: All of my original Office applications & features, with more to boot and a beautiful interface. Love the ribbon style! Flawless install, hassle-free updates. Also, One Note rocks. I use it to keep track of a ton of things and the individual notebooks with sections and pages is pretty sweet. The fact that I can link stuff into One Note from almost anywhere is great too!
- Cons: None that I can think of... may take some getting used to for some.
- Other Thoughts: Works like a champ in XP, Vista, & Windows 7. Files saved for Compatibility w/older versions of Office suite seem to work fine as well. Didn't buy from Newegg though, I received a copy of Enterprise edition through my company for 10 bucks. Can't beat that deal! :)
Scratched Media
- Pros: It's Microsoft Office 2007. Once you're used to it there is no going back baby! File sizes are way smaller than previous versions of office.
- Cons: My media showed up knocked out of the jewel case and was sitting inside behind where it should be in the retail case.
- Other Thoughts: I don't fault newegg for the con, but rather the folks in Puerto Rico. This was obviously a mfg defect. I have no idea how they managed it, but it sucks paying retail prices and having this show up with a scratch on the disk. The scratch isn't deep, so I am able to read the media in my drive thus I'm not going to go through the RMA process.
Office 2007 in all it's Glory
- Pros: Having the most Up to date version of Office is nice.
comes in a fancy plastic case that will make you feel bad for throwing it away and also confusing to open.
But the disc is Really pretty! (just one disc btw)
- Cons: when first booting up computer,Outlook 2007 is very slow to load and switch between calendar, email and other modes, it's faster if you close it and start it afterwards but if you restart computer it will start up slow again.
will take some time getting used to words new look especially if you were still using word 2000 like me.
but the files are backwards compatible which helps just make sure you know which version recognizes what.
- Other Thoughts: Only Includes word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007 & Outlook 2007 none of that other stuff you get when you buy office ultimate like one note 2007, Access 2007 etc. Lets hope we don't have to upgrade till at least 2012
